Sorry if this has already been brought up but im sure as eggs are eggs that this is going to get one sided.
For me I just do not see anything attractive about the Harani / Firrans. The catty / doggy fellas totally don't do it for me and im guessing that most Europeans / US are going to go with the race that most resembles themselves and im betting that nuians are going to be overpopulated thus in turn leading to a massive imbalance across servers?
Can this be prevented and ill be honest im liking the game but I have this in the back of my mind.

I hope this doesn't happen.
I'm actually playing East. I chose it because it is a Korean game so I thought I would go with the most Asian looking avatar.
I'm worried you could be right and the PvP will be one sided.
Not that this would be something new. When I was playing DOAC we had a dominant faction on the server. (it wasn't my faction!) I also played on a PvP WoW server and there the Horde were generally a stronger group.
You never will get perfect balance but I hope it is not totally one sided as you presented. Time will tell...
East areas are overflowing with people, same like the west, i could argue that from what i've seen it's more crowded on east than on west, ...
From about 10 people that i know that are playing the game, all picked east, ...
In Alpha it seemed this alone slanted the balance to the east as there were hordes of cat people around. I thought their 4 legged running looked pretty cool as did their mounts.
Time will tell and likely their will be some imbalance, always is it seems.
