This is my personal opinion, you are entitled to have your own!
I had played this game before on the Russian version, I had my complains about it forcing you to subscribe to do anything but being a pirate. So I tried the EU version.
Queues are expected, even thought not to this extent. Being a highly hyped game and a f2p one they should have known the amount of players trying to get in.
My issues with the game come from their greed. The amount of Labor points gained by payed and free accounts, even though not as big as the Russian version, is still overwhelming. I agree that free account should not gain LP while offline, but at least they should be the same as the payed accounts while online.
As I said in the beginning in the RU version forced free accounts to be pirates. This is because of the low LP regeneration and since it is used for building, gathering and crafting, you cant do anything worth while. The EU/NA version however require LP for everything but to log-in. The last drop for me, was when I died for the first time and needed LP to get a portion of my XP back. Congratulations, your greed just ruined leveling as well.
Honestly the hype is completely exaggerated. For an Asian game released in the end of 2012(beginning of 2013) it's decent, however, right now the game looks and feels dated. There isn't that much sandboxing as some players claim. Its still a theme park which open a bit at late game. Combat and questing is dull like any other Asian game, and prone to bot use.
The LP system was created as a mean to regulate what players do in a subscription game, it was not meant to be used in a F2P game with premium monetization. This leads both payed and free accounts to afk in the game, and the worst part is that the anti-afk system is horrible. Personally I had AA open while I was playing other games, and I was only kicked out when my PC crashed after a few hours. This obviously increases the queues dramatically.
With this said, I'd rather play something else.
