Officially The Elder Scrolls Series. Myself I'm adamant about having Dunmer & Elven children but only if they don't look ugly like Human kids. What do you hope to see in the next game?

Even more linear dungeons. Not wide, huge dungeons in Morrowind...not the huge dungeons of Oblivion...not even the linear dungeons of Skyrim. I want something so linear it is just a hallway!
On top of just hallway dungeons. LOTS AND LOTS OF CUTSCENES. So many that its just like Mass Effect, but even more cut scenes...in fact...the entire game should be a giant cutscene where you move in hallways and linear paths.
The open world can consist of 1 hit dummies, where they stand in one place and not move and each one has 1 hp. On top of this, there should have HUGE exclamation marks for each npc that has a quest. This way its easier for people to find quests.
Each quest will then be a giant cutscene where you pretend to have a choice of 3 answers for good and 3 for bad, and make it VERY obvious its good and bad...mass effect did it and it was a huge success...so bethesda should do it.
So I want the next elder scrolls to take the imaginary gameplay of mass effect with imaginary fake choices, and make those choices very obvious what they do
The npcs of MMOs and make sure to include those exclamation marks
And so many cutscenes it adds over 5,000 hours of "gameplay" but really its 4,999 hours of cutscenes.
Then bethesda can make MILLIONS! its what other games do
My Skyrim, Fallout 4, Starbound and WoW + other game mods at MODDB:
https://www.moddb.com/mods/skyrim-anime-overhaul
A few things...
Better procedural content; A "hardcore" mode without needing to use mods which forces you to actually eat and drink (similar to what Fallout:NV had); Not all guilds should be cool with each other. Joining one should mean that I can't join some others with the same character. Either cut out the main quest entirely or make it better story-wise because the main quest in Skyrim sucked.
Your wish is granted! "See: Elderscrolls online"
But seriously, it does seem that the once great elderscrolls games are slowly being dumbed down to that point. Every single new ES game has been shallower than the last. Now, yes technically skyrim was better overall than oblivion was, but the core concepts were worse, no spellmaking, removed entire spell trees, story was somehow even shittier than oblivion's, etc.
I'd kinda like to see Obisdian take a shot at a ES game, afterall, fallout:NV "CRUSHED" bethesda's fallout 3 in terms of... well... everything really.
PS: Forgot to add my wants, I'd like to see non-floaty combat. Stick Dark messiah's combat into a elderscrolls game and you have game of the century.
To find an intelligent person in a PUG is not that rare, but to find a PUG made up of "all" intelligent people is one of the rarest phenomenons in the known universe.
I do not think they should make another honestly. Unless they can do the following ON TOP of everything Skyrim already is.
The reason I think they should not do another one is because 1. Skyrim is near perfect and 2. the fantasy genre is really old. I think if we all see or be another elf we will all explode.
Things that should be added.
1. multiplayer.
2. seige warfare between captured castles.
lol, once again, our opinions are totally different.
I'd prefer to have MORE fantasy games, the elder scrolls series being the best of them for their world (not for story).
In any case, of course they are going to make more, their Elder Scrolls games are becoming more and more successful each iteration.
What I would want is better attention to detail in their story telling:
Their npc's might have gotten better but there is a lack of attention to detail in your dealings with them.
So, in skyrim, the Bard college tale felt short and you never really became a bard. More like some mercenary for them.
In the college of magic you didn't even have to be a mage to become the head of the school. something I found ridiculous.
During the companions quest you find out they have a werewolf component to their organization. One should be able to "say no" and start a quest to elimate them if you are a monster hunter.
Once you finished the main quest or even the civil war quest, npc's still reacted in a way that suggested that both conflicts continued. A few would treat you differently in the civil war quest but most of them were main characters in that quest.
I would like them to incorporate npc reactions that were in fable so that your deeds, good and bad, were reflected by the populace. If you are an evil badass then parents should usher their kids indoors and guards should show up en masse to make sure you didn't cause trouble. Good character? People flock to you, offer to buy you drinks, etc.
Also, they need to beef up their npc companions as modders are "doing it better".

yeah we completely disagree.
On that I will just say everything I mentioned is just what I want. I have been playing elves for multiple decades tired of it
as far as seige mechanics go I got to say the most thrilling and exciting MMO experiece I ever had was seige warfare in Darkfall.
I could understand that as the best sieges I ever attended were in Lineage 2. In fact, I would say that I could play a game where the only pvp were sieges.
Also, Elder Scrolls online has sieges though the few I attended felt like keep flipping. I preferred the Lineage 2 method where, if you won a castle, it was yours until the next siege period. During that time you could raise or lower taxes as you saw fit and you could make decisions for one of the larger server events.

Firstly I want to see the next TES developed on PC to take advantage of current hardware, and to give us a decent unmodded UI, then ported to console.
Then they need to make it at least as good visually as my fully modded Skyrim, complete with character replacers, EnB, lighting mods etc.
Lastly they need to top Skyrim in terms of story, visuals, voice acting, gameplay and just general all round awesomeness.
None of the above will happen. We'll get another decent installment to the series aimed and next gen consoles with a shitty console UI.. again... and I'll have to mod the shit out of it to get it looking decent, playing realistically, and adding all those touches that make Skyrim on PC so much better than the vanilla game console users are condemned to, I almost feel sorry for them.... almost.
What would I like in the next TES game?
- Attributes (again)
- RNG (again)
- Skills based on Attributes (again)
- Fatigue meaning more than how far one can sprint or how many power attacks one can do or how much weight (really?) one can carry (again)
- In depth Quest Log (again)
- Removal of GPS tracking (again)
- Factions/Guilds where skill matters (again)
- Faction conflicts (kind of again)
- Sprawling dungeons with no "back doors" (again)
- More noticeable differences in races (again)
- Underwater combat (again)
- Nice graphics
- Improved radiant quests
- A story where I am NOT "the chosen one", "the savior of Tamriel", or any variation of that theme
What will it more than likely be like?
- Easier dungeons
- No quest log, just a tracker on the screen, complete with pointers
- even fewer choices in almost everything
- Perks reworked, with almost none dealing with anything non-combat worthy
- Removal of more skill tress
- Removal or more spells/magical schools
- More simplified spells
- A more "Console friendly" interface with more trees and button mashing
- Easier mechanics to become overpowered quicker
- Even easier design to help one character do everything in the game
- Steam only access (again)
I have my doubts about the direction TES is taking. And they are selling so many copies that I do not see a reason for them to deviate from that path. I will be watching closely what they say about TES:VI. Skyrim may be the last TES game I ever purchase

Personally the only modern MMORPG trend that annoys me is the idea that MMOs need to be designed in a way to attract people who don't actually like MMOs. Which to me makes about as much sense as someone trying to figure out a way to get vegetarians to eat at their steakhouse.- FARGIN_WAR
"I have only two out of my company and 20 out of some other company. We need support, but it is almost suicide to try to get it here as we are swept by machine gun fire and a constant barrage is on us. I have no one on my left and only a few on my right. I will hold." (First Lieutenant Clifton B. Cates, US Marine Corps, Soissons, 19 July 1918)
No to the whole Fable thing. Even Fable was done poorly. If you do X in town Y, how the fk does the person in the middle of nowhere in forest Z know anything about it 2 seconds after it happens? Go ahead, say 'magic', I dare you. If that were the case, you'd know the traits of EVERYONE else you meet too due to the strange inbred soul monitor that everyone in the world seems to have.
It pretty much IS skill based, and was more so in the previous games even with attributes. Leveling is a direct by-product of skills increasing and has minimal impact on your ability compared to skills (the exception in skyrim being that you got points to put IN skills to make them effective but I still consider that an extension of skill leveling, just look at it as though after x amount of skill ups you get a point to put in the skill tree). I do not understand why this is an issue for you at all with how its implemented.
Also in response to all the "make for pc stuff!!!" I do not get you guys. UI? sortof, as someone who plays elderscrolls games exclusively on pc I personally had 0 issues with the UI. Visuals? This really confuses me... could the game have looked better? Certainly, but it looked good enough and thats really as far as I care with my games. Every time I read this stuff it makes me laugh a little because I wonder if people buy these monster pcs to play... nothing because no games are built to run on the most upper spectrum of pc performance REGARDLESS of having console versions or not. Not mocking you guys just find it so silly that you're so fixated on using 100% of your pc's performance capability to enhance a game in visuals alone.
As for what I want in the next elder scrolls, I would love to see a return to greater depth and complexity. Of the elderscrolls games morrowind remains my favorite entry to date. Skyrim was good but flawed, especially in things like the guild quests which were pretty short and I still hate the level scaling of enemies and legendary weapons mostly removed/not very good. I also would like to see more lifestyle / non-combat stuff added to the game like maybe being able to have a farm and grow crops along with a valid economy, maybe fishing, stuff like that.
You are arguing a technical issue as being a systematical fault. The idea is good and sound, the implementation had flaws. What if they added it such that it took several in game days for it to start having an effect? You know what? The argument is just odd all ways around it, games are not litteral worlds, creative use of coding is used to 'emulate' real things not to completely recreate them. That to me is almost the same as arguing why someone in an rpg isnt dead when they're hit with a sword when obviously the sword hits are not to be taken litteraly to mean the character can be stabbed in the chest 100 times before they die but instead as a reference to that characters battle endurance.
SNIP
all that and maybe a bit more gameplay on the sea. islands to discover. pirates that try to sink your boat. underwater cities....
I want a better integration of what you accomplish into the game world. Recognition of accomplishments etc. Every faction treats you like a green wet behind the ears noob. It works on your 1st faction.....Assuming you don't do a lot of miscellaneous stuff 1st like I do. But here's an example of one of my biggest lore-breakers.
On my 1st play-through of Skyrim, I didn't do the Companions 1st. In fact I did them much later in my game. I was about 40ish And had already completed the main story as well as the College and TG. when I went to see Kodlak.
The 1st thing I hear is Vilkas saying "I've never even heard of this outisder" How could anyone not have even heard of the Thane of their own city.....forget about all the Dragonborn/World Eater stuff. Then Aella says, "I've Heard you might actually be stronger than you look". Oh? And just what is it about double enchanted Legendary Daedric that LOOKS weak to you? And if that wasn't enough. Skjor says, "You still have to prove yourself, whelp!" Right! Someday I hope to do something as outlandish as Riding off the back balcony of Dragonsreach on the back of a dragon to fly me to the gate's of Sovngarde where I fight my way through and meet up with the Heroes of old including Ysgramor himself where I defeat Alduin and return to the world of the living to tell the tale.........OH WAIT! And then on the 1st real quest, I'm supposed to be shocked at the site of a Werewolf?
All the factions are like that to some extent or another, but Companions was the worst.
Also, for all the "open world" stuff, I really felt railroaded at times. While I was no fan of the Greybeards (Come on, like you guys never used them to cheat-level sneak), I really disliked the ultimatum given by Delphine and Esbern. I was very close to using CK to remove the "essential" tag from them and do the Thalmor a favor. If it wasn't for the discovery of the Parthurnax Dilemma Mod, I probably would have killed them myself and used the console to complete the quest.
That! even if they don't change any game mechanics in whatever new area they drop you in and just added co-op play I'd be happy.
Made for PC first then port it to console not other way around.
Fuuk the console ports most of the time there crap
PC already well mine is 10 times more powerfull then PS4 so developers should use that power to make superior games don't care about consoles.
PC master race first then lowend consoles:P

But you're being so narrow about it.
So "ok, Why" would they have to know anything about it?" The answer is "they wouldn't".
Not unless it made sense.
As it stands, within the elder scrolls games, (at least starting with morrowind I can't speak to the earlier games) npc's already mention things you've done.
It's just not taken to their logical conclusions or done in extremely flat unimagintive ways. aka "yes I stopped the civil war but no one anywhere knows this, at any point, with the exception of a few main quest npc's"
How about the people in Windhelm who were staunch supporters of Ulfric? Why are they still selling to you? And the Dunmer and Argonians should be more postive about you because you got rid of this racist ruler.
In any case, eventually even the farthest cities would find out that the civil war was over, especially with that courier always "about".
If you do something locally then the people should know about it. If you become more infamous then eventually more people are going to know about it.
But that doesn't mean that every npc in the woods needs to know unless there is a logical reason they should.
So sure, the fable games might not have done a great job of it but what they did that was great was introduce the concept that you as a person are known and that different npc's have different reactions to you. That makes the game world become more alive.
And it makes perfect sense in a game where you as the hero are doing things that directly and indirectly affect people's lives.
edit: Actually, see GeezerGamer's post above, he pretty much sums it up nicely.
