Animal Care Quest

Tried the game out didn't have high hopes but lo and behold I am really enjoying it, made a Nui archer (outrider) level doing the quest got the horse from the animal care quest  and made it to the next area on the map.

Installed the game on my wifes pc so she could play made a new char, caster type, and we played up to Wardton where you get the animal care quest. She got the quest for the horse but for some reason this character (which is my second) didn't.

Why is Rinji not giving me the quest on this character, is it a once per account quest or something?

    My guess is that you missed something along the way. Every character gets the quest for the free mount and the free glider later on. Go back to the starting area and look for quests you might have missed.

     

    As I recall the quest for your mount is part of a chain that starts with you having to carry a pack with a foal on your back and then you need to grow a vita bush and harvest it, The next step on the chain is when you get your mount which you then need to grow by doing 3 or 4 things (feed, water, bathe and dance) with some short time delays between steps.

    Either way you can simply purchase a baby animal and raise it on a public farm -so no quest is needed.

     

    My wife and I started these chars together and did all the quests together so I guess it was a bug, we checked in our log and such to see if I somehow missed something and found nothing suspect, only difference was this was my second char  and this was her first.

     

    Thanks for the replies guys so I at least know the quest is char based!

    BTW i did get a horse but I had to spend 15 silver, 10 to buy one from the stables in and another 5 for a vita seed so he would grow up quick.
