Last article I ever click on by Mr. Coke.

This FF looks 10x better than the ff13 disasters and the mmo-clones they have plagued us with.

Final Fantasy - The Road Trip!

Seriously the trailer reminds me of a road trip movie with a Final Fantasy twist.

FF12 was the last single player game that felt like it had some semblance of high fantasy in it.  If you want to really dig, FF9 was probably the last game that felt like a traditional entry in the series.  FF14 has a great high fantasy setting, but not everyone wants to pay a monthly fee for bits of a story that can be completed the same day they're released, let alone story bits that are locked behind some of the most difficult content in the game.  (it's side story stuff, but still significant to the overall plot)

I'm interested in trying out FF15, but I have to say I'm a bit disillusioned after FF13.  I played FF13, the story seemed convoluted throwing out terms that meant nothing to me until I read 3 hours of primer data to figure out what the hell was going on in the intro alone.  Back in my day this information was actually fleshed out through story development.  FF13-2 was systematically better, but I felt my investment in that game was totally shot after the ending.  I didn't even bother with Lightning Returns because it looked like a game where you played dress-up with Lightning more than drive towards some grand finale of the Fabula Nova storyline.

What kind of gets me about this review, is it started out bashing a game that looks good.

Then move to a game that has absolutely nothing to do with Final Fantasy. The author needs to make up his mind about what he wants to bitch about.

    Quick HIt:

Final Fantasy 7, arguably the best RPG ever, had cars, bikes so quit complaining that a more modern day FF isn't 'fantasy' they still cast magic, they still have summons. That's good enough for Fantasy. If not, go back to playing your NES/SNES/PS1 & 2 titles in silence. :)

Big difference whether you ride a bike as an escort mini game or if you travel by car throughout the game.

Guessing you haven't played Final Fantasy 7 have you?

Beyond the escort mission and mini game, you travel by, in order should my memory be right, a buggy, an airplane that seems ripped from the 40s-50s, an airship, a submarine, and then the airplane-turned-jet. So please again tell me how it"s different? Cars have been around since around the turn of the 1900s.
