I like the game's intensity and immersion, but got a fair share of problems with it.
- captains i killed don't stay dead, not even if i take their heads off. i run into them over and over again. perhaps that is a requirement for the nemesis system to work or some tolkien/lore thing i don't know about.
- fighting one captain, the cutscene once another captains hits the scene interrupts the combat at the worst possible time. mobs got out of stuns, others kept attacking me during the cutscene
- the transition between climbing and moving is too weird at times. i unintentionally jumped from buildings into packs, hung down from walls and did other curious moves because the game made it's own thing from a button click when i stood at the edge of something
- ramifications with the rankings could use some better explanation. on my death a whole load of orcs randomly get promoted all over the place while just one orc killed me. when and why do duels occur?
- the same voice actor for all orcs is going on my nerves after a while
- FoV gives me headaches
- little variety in standard orcs and world environment
- bow and stealth/sneak gameplay could use more support in the talents

1, All the captains I've killed actually died so I'm not sure why you are having this issue.
2, Last night I had "multiple captains showing up" and to be truthful I actually enjoyed it. I can see where that might be disturbing for some but it didn't bother me at all.
3, One has to be very specific with the whole climbing and moving. I experienced the same thing.I was fighting a pack of orcs near a ledge, wanted to run to the side but instead jumped off the ledge into another pack of orcs. It takes a bit getting used to. Sometimes I'm on a ledge and want to jump down as I can "jump hundreds of feet so why not ten feet" but the game wants me to "hang and then drop". And anyone reading that; you are technically dead so there is no issue jumping hundreds of feet.
I restarted the game five times because I kept dying by making mistakes that I didn't realize were mistakes. Only after the fifth time was I confident enough that I could now die on my own from real instead of discovered mistakes.
4, Having a small amount of orc actors doesn't really bother me. I think it's because I've seen so many plays where multiple roles were played by a small amount of actors.
5, Didn't notice the fov so it's probably dependent on the person.
6, There's a lot of variety for the captains and higher ups but little variety in every day orcs and of course the prisoners. It's understandable because there are SO many but I can see why this is a shame. I haven't experienced the whole of mordor so I can't really speak to variety as of yet. The map is pretty big. I suppose it's a "we'll see" thing.
7, there are talents for the bow and dagger. I just unlocked an ability to heal on sneak kills. there are separate lines of abilities for those as well as runes that support stealth kills and bow kills.

Captains do get replaced over time with new captains. So you will be running into them over and over. Or are you talking about you killed a captain and a new one appears with the same name?
Agree with the FoV, would like to be able to change it.

He's talking about some captains that just get scars instead of actually dying and you have to kill them multiple times, which I actually find pretty cool. If on the Nemesis screen you just see them lying instead of a tomb like thingy that means there's a chance they will survive, get a really cool scar on them and you may run into them again. I'm not sure if it's random or if you just have to kill them with their weakness for them to stay dead perma. I had to kill the same orc 3-4 times, was cool and annoying at the same time.
And multiple captains showing up can be annoying as hell, one of them can start retreating and suddenly another captain appears. You are stuck watching the damn cutscene while the other one gets away.....
It's fun branding the captains, making them rat and then turning them into your little bitch's lol. I've got one captain with a gold skull instead of a red one in the nemesis screen, anyone know what that means?

"And Finally: Make Sure An Orc Is Actually Dead
There are a few different ways to "kill" an orc. Not all of them result in the orc actually staying good and dead, however. The nemesis system leaves open the possibility that orcs are defeated in battle might return to challenge you anew if they're tough enough to survive certain attacks.
To make sure an orc actually dies, you have to perform a proper execution. There are a few different ways to do this, depending on the level of the orc and the situation you find yourself in. Basically, you can, erm, execute an execution by using an attack move that involves using a combo or finisher, rather than just slicing at an orc with your sword or shooting at him with a bow. "
Last night I was on a mission waiting in ambush, when I witnessed an Orc stop and commence to puke over a ledge, took him about 30 seconds to lose his lunch, maybe he had a little too much grog the night before, anyways I let him finish his business before I made his head explode, rofl. Found this quite hilarious and immersive at the same time.

Answer's the "Some captains don't die"
