if theres no response by monday im gonna file a fraud report with the BBB and my CC co. as well as many others in the AA forums..this is outright re-donkulas

Seriously, what large game dev doesn't give refunds? They ALL do - Trion, NcSoft, Blizzard, SoE - you can get a refund from any of them.
Heh, it was only 2 years ago, that this community went into an outrage at the thought of a player even considering getting refunded from games like GW2.
I've never asked for a refund of a game, But FFXIV was the LAST game I will EVER pre-order, in fact, I don't even consider an MMO anymore until it's weathered it's 1st 2 months.

Yeah I thought this was an overstated problem until I saw it for myself. On top of what is probably the worst support that I've ever seen it's dead to me. No wonder the top online games played in Korea are by Western developers, XLGAMES insists on having a GW type of grip on their precious product but they can't make games for shiat.

This is actually a worrying sign. Newly launched MMOs are complex, and it's normal to have software exploits and issues. Usually they get steadily fixed, and after a few months the worst problems are gone. But this is not a new Archeage launch - it's the third market that the game has launched in. And if hacks are a problem in a mature version of the game there is no reason to expect them to be fixed in a new one.
This is NOT a newly launched MMO. This was a port to the west. There was no building of code..... everything has been in place for years on this game. Biggest thing was changing some of the coding to make it feel more western, but based on my play time with it on both the Korean and RU servers not much was changed to "Americanize" it... kinda makes you wonder what Trion was doing during all that Beta and Alpha testing besides advertising the Founder Packs (I do understand translation takes a bit of time, but that is one division of the team that should have been working on this).
Well a lot of plots that were claimed during the Archeage headstart now have their taxes due and are becoming available. There are over 40+ players milling around these expiring plots hoping to claim the land (highlighting the drastic shortage of land availability).
The AA forums are in uproar because there are a few players using some in game hack which allows them to claim the land before anyone else. One player has reportedly claimed 10 plots using this hack despite numerous people simultaneously trying to get them.
Add to this the teleport trade hack, the AH sniper hack, the endless sea of bots etc, this makes the game almost unplayable for the legitimate player. Disappointingly, players from alpha tell us these hacks were known back then and Trion either were unable or unwilling to fix them.
Nothing will kill a game faster than hackers/exploiters, this needs to be priority one issue for Trion.

Minor correction, the AH snipe is technically not a hack but more of an exploit (as DMKano pointed out). Its actually a mod that gives a countdown timer allowing you to put in winning bids seconds before an item expires every time. Trion have been quite clear that modding is not allowed.

You just have to complain enough, make a few threats about chargeback or fraud charges, get your refund. It was particularly funny when one of my open tickets (saying "will I get a refund, yes or no?") would get a generic form letter response about all the difficulties they are overcoming and how things will get better and never answer the simple yes or no question. I began to wonder if they even spoke English or if most tickets were only getting auto responses.
And yes, I saw plenty of bots in the 2 weeks I played. I saw one killing a group of boars I needed for a quest. I moved myself and my horse in the path it was following and they just kept running into the side of my horse for about 2 minutes. Then did some jumping and continued the pattern.
I had absolutely no problem getting a refund. The first answer was indeed the "we are making things better" type, but they also said "if you still want a refund, just answer "refund please" to this message". I did so, and got all my money back. I never needed to threaten them or whatever, being polite actually works just fine.
Now of course, if people ask for the refund like they post on this forum here, rudely and full of rage, then I'm not surprised if the customer support tells them to go to hell.

You can't complain about buying a broken product when you purchase an alpha/beta, cause you essentially bought a broken product lol.
Wow i have never seen so many hackers in an mmo , tons of teleport,flying,speed hacks,stealth hacks dozens in one day i don't think anyone is worried about getting caught because its f2p bots,bots and more bots.
Unfortunately we told everyone right form the start when Trion annouce the founders packs and the price that it was a bad idea to buy them because the game was already full of hackers and gold sellers. There was vids and reports all over the web on how it was oversea and how it would become like that over here. Everyone told us we where telling lies and that we where just mad about the price of the founder packs.
Sorry to say but no pitty from me to the one's that got the founders packs. They where told about it from the start. The only thing i hope now is that Trion fix the issue, but i doubt it will be fixed at all. Even the Free players will suffer in the end and will leave after they realize this. Give it another 6 months and we will see.

You know the implications for TRION when a huge number of charge back requests happen against a single Company?
It would pretty much instantly put TRION straight out of bussiness, as they would be put under investigation by the Credit Card companies and blacklisted.
I think bots are responsible for network problems i seen a whole sea of bots vanish and they try to all log back in at same time overwhelming the login servers, whats worse every time i try to teleport i get a server error message.
I watch a bunch of bots they teleport to mobs instead of running to them i bet they eat up lots of server cpu cycles teleporting every few seconds.
I have seen hackers running trade packs teleport right to objective its really getting out of hand.

Not exactly true. But you are entitled to a refund provided you do it within reasonable time and you haven't spent tons of time playing the game.
I bought the silver pack for £30 and I played the game for about 2 weeks. I enjoyed it while it lasted and I am not going to request a refund as I paid the regular retail price for a new game and I played more than enough hours to make up for it. Now people who actually bought £110 packs are just crazy. I would never pay £110 for a game lol.

There most definitly bots i thought it was bs at first but if you walk around some remote areas it like OMG.
Lev50 ones that party with a low level so they still get drops.
All with the "debuff" or whatever that does :P
Trade teleport still works little different but it still is used.
There guys walking around with 100k in gold, ah well i sit out my patron ans see what game comes next.
