Can we use SweetFX now?

I tried this game during beta but HackShield blocked SweetFX. Is it allowed now? Just asking because I might redownload the game then... Thanks!

You only play a game if you can use sweetfx with it? Odd.

Anyway not sure if it is allowed.

I doubt the devs have any control over what is blocked by hackshield, so no probably not.

It's the subset of gamers who think the devs purposely make their games look ugly and SweetFX is a miracle cure that makes you a gaming God. Or something like that. Frankly I think it makes most games look worse. To each his own though.

Yes, because my graphics card is crap and the graphics look blurry (and I mean very blurry, not only AA but also other games) and it makes my eyes hurt if I don't use SweetFX's LumaSharpen effect... Unfortunately, I cannot afford a new card. Thanks to SweetFX, I can enjoy games without eye pain, it makes the games as sharp as I want... I don't even use any other effect, only LumaSharpen. It's rude to leave sarcastic comments if you don't even know why I need SweetFX... But that's fine, the internet is full of prejudice and stereotypes. (Just to avoid even more prejudice: English is not my native language, sorry for my mistakes).

Can you show me a screenshot of the difference with SweetFX (any game)? I have debated on using it before, but I don't trust screenshots posted by developers.

I've been using SweetFx since closed Beta on a PC running an AMD 7850 on the DX9 Archeage client. You need to install RadeonPro and create a profile for the Archeage client. You also need to download and use SweetFX 1.4, not 1.5. Follow the instructions here: http://www.reddit.com/r/archeage/comments/2dntsj/how_to_get_sweetfx_working_for_those_who_want_it/

Trion allows SweetFX in all of their games (Archeage, Defiance, Rift, etc) - no issues at all.

There is a nice preset here: http://sfx.thelazy.net/games/game/646/. Tweak the SweetFX settings to suit your taste. I also use the RadeonPro settings outside of the SweetFX tab to apply AA filtering, adjust mipmap, etc. I don't use Archeage's SMAA, I use the override in RadeonPro.

Note: you will need to exit Archeage, make your changes in RadeonPro and then restart the Archeage client. Its annoying since I'm used to editing the SwettFX setting file directly in Notepad and then Alt-tabbing back into a game to see the adjusted effects; haven't been able to do that with Archeage.
