Lost my Quest Guide!

I had this problem and so have others so....

First when the game crashes your tracker resets and you need to put the quest back into it, to do so:

1 ~ hit "L" to open your log.
2 ~ make sure the quests you want are "check marked".

Now sometimes your quest will no longer be in your tracker OR your log. Think of this as a visual bug. You still have the quest, it is just not showing up in the tracker or the log which can be frustrating if you do not remember what objective you were at or where you had to go etc etc.

You can get it back by continuing the quest line, meaning you can still do the objective you were at, you just need to find what that was without the game holding your hand and leading you to the objective.

You can use these two links for quest guides:

ArcheAgedatabase.net
http://archeagedatabase.net/us/quests/nuians/
This database allows you to sort quests by various methods or criteria such as by main storyline for Nuian, Firran, Elf and Harani or others, just hover your cursor over "Quest" at the top of the site and choose the appropriate criteria.

I will give an example of how to go about this using the first link with the Nui faction. In my example I lost my main storyline after "A Mysterious Visitor". If I opened my log, in the right tab I had the episode two cut scene. I no longer had any main story lines showing even though as was far far ahead and should have had 12 episodes in my log.

1 ~ To proceed hit "L" to open your log click on the right tab at top to see what the last episode you have is.

This will allow you to make an educated guess about how far you need to backtrack. Note you may have to go back further in the quest line or proceed further ahead into it depending on how good your "guess" is. You can also take a look at your inventory quest items as they may give you a hint where you were at.

2 ~ Go to http://archeagedatabase.net/us/quests/nuians/ and make sure you click on "Level" to make sure the quest are displayed in order by level.

3 ~ Make a guess to about where you were at by hovering your cursor over each quest (this will show what the objective was for that quest) and trying to remember if you did that one or not.

For this example I remember that I had talked to Marian and touched the monolith next to her, used an item that gave me and had killed or done stuff to the ghost mobs near her but didn't remember much after this.

4 ~ Back track to the last thing you remember doing in the quest chain and look at what the next quest wants you to do.

In this case I backtracked to Marian near the Nui start area and the next quest (Divine Intervention) told me I had to "chat with the bloodhand corpse near the western monolith".

5 ~ Proceed to the next objective.

In my case I headed west from Marian to the western monolith. I found a corpse on the ground but alas it wasn't light up for me. At this point I though bugger..... BUT keep in mind these are guides and may not be perfect. I went right up to the big monolith to touch it and Behold it dinged and the bloodhand corpse light up for me. I now had my quest line showing up in my tracker again!

6 ~ Keep doing each objective for each quest in the story line until you get your quest chain back in your tracker.

Note this may vary depending on what objective you had to do, it may be a bring this letter to XXX npc or kill XXX mob etc etc. The important thing to know is that you still have the quest chain and you can still do the objective even if it doesn't show anywhere in your log or tracker.

The game crashed on me again at some point during the quest "A Mother's Tale" and I didn't have it in my log or tracker fortunately I had "Humphrey's Letter" in my inventory which I had to deliver to Noble Castle Servant Emma in Ronbann Castle. She was not light up for me and clicking on her did nothing but right clicking on the letter in my inventory made her pop and light up so I again regained the quest chain!

Brenics ~ Just to point out I do believe Chris Roberts is going down as the man who cheated backers and took down crowdfunding for gaming.
