I like the game, so overall I'd be positive, but it's got things that I really don't like.
I like the way the skill system works. It reminds me of GW 1, but add a third class and complicate it a bit. I like the way the Labor points work because they keep the economy for low level items active. I like the gliders and the boats and I like the mounts.
I like the way the towns are, and I've heard a lot of people complain. I like that you'll run through trees and plants and find cows and ducks and then a house here or there. To me it's got a real organic feel and sometimes it's beautiful and sometimes it's pretty ugly, but I like that natural feel. (it's a bit cramped)
I like the seas, and the boating. It feels great and it's pretty good fun. I don't like that they don't have a lot to do out on the ocean. I'd like to see a LOT of things added like Pirates on actual ships and more great beasts like the kraken.
I hate the quest system, and even though you can choose to never do a quest, it's almost a requirement unless you've decided to be a pure crafter. If you think of the most simple and boring quests you've ever done it seems like they packed them all in this game. I'm approaching max level and I've never done one quest that I thought was interesting or challenging. They definitely went for quantity over quality.
What I'd give to have an epic quest added to this game.
I don't like the dungeons, they're not awful, but they're just bleh and there's not many of them. I want dungeons like BB, Lower Guk, HS and the like. Something deep and convoluted with deadly traps and certain death and what I get is a mini game where if you die on your little straight line tour you spawn right back while the NPC's stay dead so if you want you can just death roll. The game isn't really about dungeons, but still I was a bit disappointed.
I like the Trade, every bit of the trade and the trade runs are pretty cool. It's not exciting, but I think it adds to the game and for the war zones it adds a lot of PvP and group PvP.
The Kraken has been killed, but I think there are a lot of bosses that haven't been defeated. What I've seen hasn't been that impressive. The Red Dragon in Darkfall, all the bosses of EQ and WoW and other bosses for other games seem more epic to me, and I like that.
There's a lot going on in this game, I've been playing a lot, and I like it.
I guess if I had one final thought about the game overall I'd say that this game points toward the game that I want more than other games. It's not there for sure, but it gets closer.
