I have a 150/150 download/upload capacity, and this download is taking forever.  I guess I should have never uninstalled, but these latest info has got me wanting to play again.

6 hrs into the DL at 14%

Hang in there and let us know about the current state of the game.

Or you could ask some players who never left what the state of the game is. :D

That's just silliness.  It's like asking a fanboy what their opinion is.  Just because you were willing to tolerate crappy conditions, buggy messes, and broken things abound, doesn't mean you're qualified to report on the state of the game.

I want someone who, like me, gave up after the mess of launch to tell me if it's better or not.  I retained hopes but then... that may prove my undoing.  Please report back as I'm cautiously interested.

Yeah. You guys should have your own sub-forum where you can just talk to each other without interference from people who aren't like you...image

@OP... When you say "150/150" are you talking about bits per hour? There's something wrong with your DL. No way it should be taking that long with even the slowest cable or optical ISPs.

I think his comment of "I don't remember any of it" speaks volumes... I mean, if you can totally forget everything in this short amount of time, there wasn't anything memorable about the game, good or bad, to begin with.  Players usually totally hate something or totally love something... rarely do they just feel nothing at all.

I finally sprang for ESO at the $25 price point, and am installing now.  Noticing there's not a whole lot of conversation about it online...but I hope it can at least distract me from the temptation to plow through all of Skyrim's content for the fifth time.

I am not trying to condone anything but EVERY single game 100% of them are released before they are ready. It is a really sad state of affairs and i somehow think games have been released like this even in the past. What devs  did in the past was just remove any buggy mess and sell it to you in the next xpac when it was ready but now devs already in a timeline rush need all their content or players are crying foul when done linear questing in 3 weeks.

It is a guaranteed poor release for every game .People saying we can't please everybody,i think you ONLY please the naive or players with little expectations with current game releases, that is why so many have such high drop offs so quickly.

Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

the patches have fixed everything and keeps adding huge changes making it better and better. Unless you have a crapp[y comp you will be very impressed with the graphics as well. I have 8 toons and like my Templar archer the most with my dragon knight sword and board 2nd. I am doing all the drafting split up between them so I have plenty of skill points for combat left. You haters need to tell me what game out there is better instead of bitching about whatever you think there is to bitch about. I been playing it since release and it will keep me busy until something better comes out which I have yet to find. Been playing these games since EQ1 btw.

Have they fixed all the bugged and broken quests that they didn't fix during all of the beta tests for launch?

Those were fixed a long time ago. Most of them had something to do with how many people were around spawn points and phases. And a simple log out to character select and logging back in fixed it most of the time. When I took a break I hadnt ran into any broken quests for awhile.

I am starting to have a little more spare time now so I will end up playing again soon.
