Edit:  Great review OP!  It was very informative for us newbies.

    Quit, Uninstall, Etc

Even if you go to max level the way I did, there is absolutely nothing.

Play something that makes you enjoy an Mmo.

Trust Me, this is one HELL of an mmo.

In terms of the negative vibes I got from this game , it surpasses all other negative F2P experiences.

Just because you found nothing at max level - that's on you, its your personal experience it is not a factual statement - its completely wrong in reality.

Ive been at 50 for weeks (not gonna count 50# in alpha and in Korea) - still haven't scratched the surface.

Getting to 50 is trivial, also Auroria is not even opened yet - which is a huge part of end game content.

Grouping and PvPing, that is the end game ?

    What is the point ?

So. at the end game or at some point of time the whole ArcheAge game-space will be players shouting for party to PvP and it does not stop here ... you even have multiple characters / classes who logs around Safe Statue (NUI) and we have MOBA  at  end game.

Thanks for letting us know that it is just MOBA there at the end ... just before auroria opens up ...

I will rather play a way more polished and better MOBA ...

The point is to have fun, what is the point you're making? I get people sharing problems they find with a game, I don't get people going on and on about a game they don't even understand. IF the above is your actual opinion, I'd say pick up WOW or one of it's ilk, or go play some MOBAs. Games like AA and yourself just simply don't click.

    it's left ...

Oh but occasional online at low level areas and  kill a few and go offline ...

Oh enlighten others even remotely trying to waste their time about the sorry state of this nearly GHOST-TOWN state ...

Oh I forgot, there will be a post finding some positive side to this game and I will have to counter spell reality again ...

    Oh snap ... Sarcasm !!!

Lol ghost town? If you are going to lie at least make it somewhat believable..

I say , anyone can join and find out ... it is F2T ..

You obviously did it wrong. Did you try to solo it? I got 3 50s and all got 150 tokens within 5-6 hours. You need to find a group where everyone need rolls for one of the tokens and a spot that you don't have to share with others. It's hilarious that people consider this a "grind". I guess they have short memories or are new to MMOs.
So are you saying it isn't a grind, or are you comparing it to old mmos that you have to grind in? If it's the latter, I think most would agree players don't want games to work this way anymore. Grinding isn't cool for nerds anymore.
I think the "fault" lies with the players who don't have the perseverance to work for anything more, or see things through to the end.

It's actually time to stop catering the lowest common denominator and perhaps try to see if they can better themselves instead.

Perhaps they can be taught after all.

Agree .. there are too many 'i want it now' players these days

AA is indeed a 'perls before swine' case.

But as long as we MMORPG vets have this gem lets enjoy it before "the lowest common denominator" of the new genaration of "MMORPG gamers" (They don't know themselves that in reality they are not MMORPG material but FPS'r/MOBA's or even singleplayer gamers and whatnot and come into MMORPG's trying to change the genre)  hit us.

    I was just thinking.......

Where do heavy RNG mechanics fit into this picture?

    RNG is a game mechanic

Why would it go on a picture of MMO Gamer types?

Two entirely different things, it be like asking where does a Periodic Table of Elements fit on that picture?

Also games employ RNG when it comes to be raid drops for example - RNG is in most MMOS in some form.

Because it takes out the "Left to Right" slider and just makes it about time.

I just made it to level 15 and feel absolutely nothing for the game.   I am not immersed, I am not compelled, I am not enjoying myself.  True, I haven't seen the PVP nor the crafting, but at this point I'm already bored with the experience.

The story is as unengaging as it gets.  The quests are paint by number.  I've seen people praise this game and others bash it.  I guess I just don't get this one.

I constantly feel a "been here; done that" sort of emotion when playing and I find that I am playing for the sake of playing rather than the sake of having fun.

I will try to continue on, but fear I am reaching the point where I may stop.

    Do

    Not

    Solo

If you want to have fun in ArcheAge and really see it for what it is - play actively with a guild of folks that you get along with.

Soloing in ArcheAge would be the same as soloing a group sport - Football, Baseball, Basketball - they all suck when played solo and will give you a very wrong impression about what those sports are about.

A little hard to find a guild when I haven't been able to chat until just hitting 15.

The worst place to find a guild probably is in game. I found mine through the guild recruiting sub-forum here. And chose my server only after I joined them and got to know them a few days before release.

The 1-15 no general chat thing is no big deal if you have guild chat.

Why is it bad to look for guild in-game?  Other than a few MMOs, I've always been able to find guilds in game with success.

    The difference between:

I want it now and I do not want to put in MAMMOTH effort to get it is just a choice.

However, If you can never get it with FUN, it is no LONGER a game then ... More like a JOB !!!
