by the way, Metallica didn't sell out because they cut their hair. they sold out because they stopped being a thrash metal band and became something else.
i can understand why metal fans don't like new Metallica, i am one of them. but if you actually think old Metallica sucks (pre-black album) then you are either too young and compare it to metal bands that all copied off of them in some way or you fall in the category in my first sentence.
old Metallica is classic and when that shit first came out it was not mainstream like it is now and one of a kind. just because people now like it and it's become mainstream doesn't automatically mean it sucks.
that goes for a lot of things though, like mmo's for example.

Man, they should get Al Jourgensen and the new guys in Ministry to come out there and blow everyone's mind for an hour so instead. I might actually order the live stream if they did that.
Nice i guess, Metallica is not really my music these days anymore, but i do have alot of respect for the band because the first 4 albums they made are just awesome. They sold out? hmm yes i guess they did but i don't really care, there is decent amount of good thrash bands coming out these days for example: Violator (great brazilian thrash and you just know brazilian thrash kills), Suicidal Angels (silly name, but good thrash, check out Moshing Crew or Beggar Of Scorn songs) Metallica does what it wants, doesn't matter since Thrash 'Till Death.
