I know you can't do much as publisher, but unless Trion somehow convince XL to let them do something about this mess of a game, then I'm pretty much done.

Reddit thread about all the different hacks / bots in this game, everything is compromised, leveling, grinding, land, farming, AH bots, fake trades, wallhacks/radars, traderun bots and teleports...

And Trion decide to go through with Halloween event (which btw is more like a marketplace sale than an event)


The gameplay in this game is a step in the right direction, it's a fun game, and I hope to see more like it in the future, just better protected versions.


To those still hanging in there and hoping for change, I hope it comes, have fun guys.

Yes, that is correct.

However, Trion can't do anything with the code of the game, if change is needed they always have to ask XL to do it, so Trion can unfortunately only be reactive towards this problem, not proactive.

It's really funny that when someone hinted on the many problems this game had in korea (bots, hacking etc etc), the fanboys got allover this person stating that "but it will be Trion's game here", "it will be totally different", "Trion won't do/allow these things to happen here" , "Trion is at the controls for the western ArcheAge, it's basicly a different game" and such.

ArcheAge was even commonly refered to as "Trion's ArcheAge", even in headlines on this website.

Now that the game turned from one of the worst, short-sighted, amateurish launches to a pool of bots, hacks, continous disasters and worst case PR scenarios it's all XLgame's title again and "poor Trion just can't do anything about it."

Hypocrisy at it's best.

I definitely agree with you.  In reality, these really aren't trion's problems, they're just the ones administering the game so to speak.  Things like customer service and stuff they could certainly be blamed for, but the core product *is* still XLgames.

That being said, you are absolutely correct that its funny to see the backpedaling from the "fanbois" or whatever we should call them.

Yes, I don't like those very much either, they've been in from the beginning though.

2 boxes.

One is a welcoming box which gives some potions etc, this box has a chance to drop a limited time pet or mount.

The other box drops regrading / alchemy stuff, chance at regrading charms (these up the chance of not failing and losing your items when you upgrade) regrade charms can only be obtained from this box. And last but not least it has a tiny chance to drop the fastest donkey in the game, which happens to also be the fastest boat in the game.

What I see is full servers much of the time and que on the pre launch servers often. 

 

One month into the game the game is going forward still in spite of problems. At the same time western publisher AAA games besides wow seem to be in decline.

Or rather, is now pay-to-win? Since a Best in Slot (fastest donkey.  ...and fastest boat, lol) is now cash-shop only (and presumably expensive to get on average), is AA Pay-to-Win yet?  Or not because of the "Donkey is tradeable" loophole?  (Wonder how much it'll go for on the market if that's the case...)

I haven't actually seen this happening, but we all knew who was doing it on our server and calling the said dude out when he was trying to sell property making sure no one purchased.

Other than that,  I have seen a bot train once but I guess that's the benefit of being on a lower pop server

AA is a bot/hack infested game.
Apparently on Eanna they were hacking their ass off and quite a few people got best in slot pieces which we all know are ridiculously difficult to craft.
But hey people will still tell you it doesn't affect them. Just do come back here crying when those hackers destroy you in pvp with their godly items.

There are no best in slot items yet in game - as Auroria hasn't launched yet.

It's impossible to craft best in slot items at this time.

 

If you are suggesting that there's a crafting hack tool that makes you produce best in slot gear - no such thing exists.

I'm not sure I should reply to your post, it seems like a bait, or maybe its just unwillingness to explore the possibility that it could it exist.

But I'll reply to you once, here goes.

 

"Best in slot" is crafted divine armor and divine weapons, and there's been multiple threads on Reddit and on the forum (there was one thread with pictures as well) about individuals crafting several divine pieces within few minutes...

(If you succeed in these high end crafts it gets announced to everyone, because the chance of success is extremely low, and if the craft does not succeed there is a very high chance the item will be destroyed).

..But it seems to be easy for some, getting 1 piece is extremely lucky, even with resplendent regrade scrolls and the best regrade charms. Getting 2, 3 or 4 divine pieces in a row, that is nearing impossible.

 

I could dig up those threads, but they don't prove anything either, they could have been faked.
