So basically I am at a point where I can't find anything else I enjoy playing more than AA but there are so many things about the game I just plain dislike.  So instead of just making a post about the stuff I dislike in the game I am going to list both things I enjoy and things I can't stand.

Enjoy:

1.  Large open seamless world.  With the exceptions of dungeons there is virtually no instancing in AA which I really like.

2.  Class system.  I really like the fact that you can mix and match trees to create several unique classes.

3.  Population.  AA is booming and not just with bots but real people too.

4.  Boats and open water combat.

5.  Also I like the look of the game.  The armor, the scenery etc.

Dislike:

1.  Land.  Not enough of it, hackers gobble it up as soon as a plot opens up.  XL and trion could fix this if they really wanted to.  If you don't have land it's hard to make gold or level professions.

2.  Bots and gold seller spam.  This is super annoying and preventable for the most part but no real fixes appear to be happening.  Making faction chat limited to lvl 15 which takes about an hour to achieve is not the answer!

3.  Gear!  I am a tank, I farmed my hasla weapon (another point I will address in number 4), I did all the hasla + quests for my 7/7 gear, awesome right?  No, not so much, because I can't tank GHA without a full cloth set (at least that's the general belief).  Oh wait crafted gear works, um but it's like 150g a piece.  Ok so I will just run it as DPS until I get some cloth gear, except no one wants melee DPS in GHA.  I think you see where I am going here.

4.  Hasla!  WTF is this mess all about?  You stand there hopefully in a large raid in hopes to tag a mob when it spawns so that it can drop one of 7 tokens that you need 150 of to get a piece of gear.  On what planet is this considered fun, I mean really?  Why not have a dungeon drop the tokens or have anyone that damages the monster a chance to roll or basically anything other than stand there and try to speed tag mobs until reds decide its time to PvP in which case if you die you start 10 mins away from where you need to be??

5.  Combat fluidity is terrible.  I am running a beefy rig and I still get intermittent lag when I am in combat.

6.  There are two ways to open things up in AA so that you can have the full experience of the game.  First you can have a large farm, tend to it daily and either play the market or chain run packs so you have enough gold to craft and buy gear.  The second in spend RL money to purchase APEX so that you can sell the APEX in game for gold so you have enough to craft and buy gear.

7.  The NPCs speak freaking Korean.  There is only like 10 different things NPCs say in this game why did they not convert these things to English?

AA feels like a game with much potential but not a finished product.  Sadly due to the fact that the game has been out in Korea for 2 years and that Trion has no real control over the game, I highly doubt that there will ever be anything done to make AA feel highly polished.

Hasla wasn't even in the game at launch in other versions.  It was added to the game so that newbies could catch up, but purposefully made inferior to the best gear in the game because the game was never supposed to be about grinding mobs for gear (again, only reason the hasla grind exists is so new players could catch up a little)

Basically, what I'm trying to say is that after the hasla honeymoon "it's like Christmas!" period is sadly over, from there on, expect getting better gear to be like pulling teeth, especially as the crafting costs shoot up higher and higher for upper end equipment.  Just as the game was meant to be before (and after) the "let's get some newbies into the game!" hasla was introduced to it.

I guess you will be surprised when it comes to crafted vs loot gear once Auroria is released...

Oh you know it's coming!  Some AA champion will come along and tell me how I am too carebear for AA and that I am a themepark fanboy with no business in the sandbox realm that should go back to WoW with all the other kids and let the adults play AA.

Honestly, there are some situations where what you said above can be applied.... your post isn't one of those situations.

Aside from number 2, your dislikes seem to be reasonable.

I like the game but the hacking is pretty bad. We tried to grab some land the other day behind our house (me and the wife) and some level 1 grab it so fast and then teleported away.  The taxes due on the plot once he  grabbed it were like 70 something which means he has a ton of property.  The community is pretty toxic as well which is to be expected for a pvp focused game.

The markets atm are pretty bad as well not sure of the bots or apex flooding the market is effecting things.

I think the OP is more than welcome to his opinion .....perhaps he should heed some of your earlier advise and try Wildstar  for a change of pace

Pretty much agree with your "Likes".  Most of your "Dislikes" are reasonable arguments. Perhaps there are answers to those dislikes that make them more palletable. However, on the first two dislikes you mention, Trion is addressing both issues fairly aggressively. This includes those "land grabbers" that did so via less then legit means. As to the overall cost on the AH, they will come down once people STOP buying. As the gold farmers go away and the gold buyers are having their gold removed, less people will inflate the prices.

Let's party like it is 1863!
