Battlefield 2 Query

Anyone played that here? And how the hell do you fly the helicopter in dessert combat? Will it be the same as playing a heli on Dessert Combat? I just wanna know coz apart from searching on free mmorpgs im planning to purchase BF 2 as well.

It's like a mix of Desert Combat + Battlefield Vietnam (helo piloting)

This is of course the general consensus that I've heard from player based previews. (e3) I didnt get to go this year so i didnt play it. But I have it pre-ordered, see you on the battlefield. Later

I haven't been able to test BF2 yet but from the trailers I've seen and reviews I read flying will be more related to flight sims a bit yet not extremely complicated to fly. If you want to master flying helis use a joystick not your keyboard.

Anyways from the video footage I've seen of BF2 it looks like it is gonna rock.

Pretty much sums it up. you want to fly anything at the top you use a joystick, otherwise be happy being average.

And to answer thje question in post 1 specifically..Practice..Practice..Practice. Helos in DC are an art.

Actually most of the best helo pilots in DC were mouse + keyboard guys. Not stick jockeys. Though I fly stick, could never do the mouse thing.

Yeah i have that hunch it will. Anyways, i will definitely use a joystick to control the heli as you suggest.
