A new CLASS is the only reason I would go back, but they will probably never add one so I probably won't be going back. Boring game after beating the story with 3 characters and PvPing a ton I feel no need to keep playing.

I played the game but I am done for a while, lack of newer classes, lack of the ability to have a wardrobe where you could wear items you like instead of been forced to wear those that have stats on. It is a killer for me, you cannot wear clothing typical for each race and the devs dont care about it. This game has potentials but the devs need to get their heads out of the sand.

U can wear pretty much everything you want, ¨Adaptative gear¨ sound familiar to you?. The stats or bonus are in the Mods not in the armour. SWTOR Customization is really good and give you all the freedom you want, (Maybe too much), at the point that is hard to find two players looking the same.

Adaptive gear is only available at higher levels, from the beginning you are forced to wear whatever you can find, it is not worthy invest to change those pieces, but there are pieces found at lower levels that llok very good but you have to discard them later on. I would like and it has been posted a gazillion times a wardrobe where I can wear items I like that look great for the type of character I am playing, right now I cant do that and the devs dont care. Other games like LOTRO etc have wardrobs where you can wear items with 0 stats and look good.

You can find an adaptative version of pretty much all the ingame armor, Low-Mid-High Level.  http://tor-fashion.com/

The adaptive gear got my gal REAL interested in SWTOR. We played on release, got bored, left, came back for the RotHC xpac; found new life in the game; got her hooked on finding that "perfect look"; played tons of content (actually 'wanted' to login); finally left to play Wildstar (to her displeasure). Now, it's a couple hours with D3 each week, but SWTOR is calling us back with the new goodies. I haven't bought the the SoR xpac yet; not sure what I'm waiting for, but I'll be pulling the trigger shortly.

Wish they'd do more with the PVP, like cross-server queues, etc.

Actually, they said they'll do something even better. Everybody's guess is that they will remove PVP restrictions for F2P players (which was announced like a year ago, but never implemented).

Anyway, I succumbed to hype of new expansion and XP boost, bought the sub + expac, and I must say I really like the game (again).

you can sprint from level 10 as a f2p player, its hardly a gamebreaker. If you want to play a sub mmo for free thats fine but you have to expect some restrictions if you dont want to give any money what so ever.

asking if 4.0 is planned and if a simplistic fp will ever be made even more simple weren't the best questions that could of been asked imo

LOL even fabois say that the F2P model is way to restrctive.  I get it, pay to look pretty, pay for extra char slots, stuff like that, i completely agree.  But pay for basic MMO functions?  Lol ok, whatever if you think that is right, let me talk to you about the 'front door tax' and how far behind you are.  Ridiculous.

If you want a new idea, go read an old book.

In order to be insulted, I must first value your opinion.

It is possible to enjoy the game for free, just not to the degree of a paying player - and that sounds quite fair, doesn't it?

After all, we are not talking about any old crap here. It is a Star Wars MMO. Either you like SW or you don't. If you do, perhaps it is worth a few dollars per month to enjoy it? If not... well... luckily there are alot of other games out there.

I will keep my sub on this, and switch between SWTOR and The Secret World, and from time to time even LOTRO. Great games all!

    This exactly...

What a shame really, because the game itself is very solid for my taste.

I really do not understand the talking point of "Episode Seven movie on the horizon! It's gonna be an exciting time for new players!" SWTOR is set a completely different era, and the new Hobbit movies didn't exactly drive Lord of the Rings Online(also F2P) into the spotlight in the MMO community.

Or you know.  I could just sub and never worry about it.

0of all the many many things wrong with SWTOR first things first, they need to dump EA!, money grabbing shits, the second they came on board disaster was in the air, ( BF4 Launch/remaining issues) dump the cartel market, du.... could go on there for ages. there is alot that needs improving mainly they need to replace the half finished engine that it was pushed out with because EA wanted to grab the xmas market a few years back. Also more individual class stories, companions and their stories, more..... again can go on for a while here too. It was not ready for launch then and it is still lacking. this expac and 12x xp, 12x xp! c'mon they must be getting low on players if they are offering that, but still it is nowhere near enough to get alot of people to come back. I am not re-subbing, or even re downloading, maybe if Disney took it back from EA i might consider it. Oh and brought back the original dev team, the ones that did care about the game.

I could go on for a while however besides all this, with the new trilogy on the way chances are there will be a whole new Star wars MMORPG in the pipeline, and it might even rival galaxies (pre-Combat upgrade, bloody SOE ruined that one) so lets wait and see.

as a star wars fan, i was deeply disappointed with swtor.

so much potential flushed into the sewer, THANKS EA!!
