I'm getting PS tomorrow

I'm getting planetside and everquest tomorrow due to haveing the SOE all access plan so why not!!!

Now... What's this game like. I know it's first person but how are the wars is it like crazy?

how does the game work with like lvls and what not...
I'm extremely new to ps.

Glad to see new blood to the game There will be many people willing to help you, its crucial for this games survival. /whisper my current character MasterCrafted if you play Terran republic and i could give you a few pointers Thats on Emerald server.

To make your PS experience the best possible, go to http://psforums.station.sony.com/ps/board/message?board.id=pstechsupport&message.id=5936 game requires some tweaking .. it will also make your PC overall game-healthy ... Planetside is a good excuse to start cleaning/tweaking a system.

The first week of the game you'll feel lost. Three empires to choose from, so many different certifications you can earn, and so many continents to battle on. After you get the feel of how to play the game you might become bored because you havn't "found your empire" yet. I played as the VS for weeks until I got so bored I planned on quitting, but then I tried out the NC one last time and now I love them. If you need help /tell sgtbloom on Emerald Server.

You will also get repeatedly "owned" at first.  It's natural.  Some people have been playing for over two years now.  Don't get frustrated.

The first time you clear out a tower by yourself, or resecure a CC for your empire, or whatever, and the adrenaline starts pumping you'll be hooked.
