Lf a voxel game to put me on edge.

Now on edge may seem vague to alot of people, so i will make it clear of what my desire is.. First off the closest i've come to my ideal gaming is a tie between The Forest and 7 days to die. as far as voxel goes 7 days to die and minecraft. Now 7 days has the mechanic of i can sneak past zeds , zed wolfs but it lacks larger scale monsters. and until it gets a form of Redstone tech i will stay off it for now..  Redstone tech for those of you who lack minecraft is a form of using "wires" and other electric sort of devices to make things like automatic doors, and even traps, or automating a farm.  The sense of being on edge to me as a person who enjoys building and exploring is to keep me from standing upright unless i know im in the clear.  hugging walls, or other cover as i make my way around a map.  I do love when i can customzie my character, I love further when i have a sense of fear when playing a "while im building will a monster come up and get me?? ...

1: 7 days to die has voxel, physics, zeds being drawn to noise, but its still a full zed game.. and with the only non zombie being a hornet makes it dull.. since at the stage it is, there is no massive beast to fear.. a person with a gun can easily mow down an entire horde..  but i havent seen anything bigger then a 40 zombie horde including 2-5 hornets. maybe 3 wolves. and as it being a zombie game theres no infection threat aside from stat reduction so if a friend of mine dies of infection in my base they dont turn to zed and for me to put down. but there is also me turning off sounds since all you hear is zombie sounds even if your base goes down to bedrock.... its more annoying then being in the nether and theres a ghast somewhere making noises..

2:the forest:: its not voxel, but has crafting a inventory i actually like. weight use, a nice stealth system and cannibals, sharks and such to keep me busy, it lacks teraforming, big ass monsters. like maybe a mutated snake or sumtin...  and also the glowing objects annoy me...

3:Minecraft.. has alot of mods.. i've modded my own personal server to the point hardcore is a kitten.  but the blocky graphics are meh..  alongside the fact virtually everything in it has no learning like walking right into a pitfall...

i own alot of games but many lack the Edge... i want to Survive, to take on the enviroment and work myway up from crawling, cussing at the monitor, to having a base of operations i'm proud of..    so into this fact. i have a few below of what im looking for..

well 2 big things..

1: Needs  : being food, hydration, energy, health if its survival you must need those..

2:things i need to work hard to kill. i dont want to be like minecraft killing a zombie with a feather, or in state of decay killing a zombie with a flashlight...   i prefer the baddies to require skill to kill, not button smashing..

as closing note.. i'm watching 2 games atm. as they progress..

1:life is feudal.:: i'm waiting to see what enviromental enemies will be added.. if its a full pvp game its gonna be meh..

2: Somping land..  : waiting for it to be more stable, and to see if any progression past cavemen is even able.
