AA, pound for pound the most fun MMORPG I have played
For me, it just is. I don't laugh in any other game like I do in this one. I mean, this isn't us, I just found it while goofing off and watching some youtube, but this is really typical of the game in my experience.

So, yeah, sorry for all you guys that have allowed your game and thinking to be dominated by all the negativity around here, but my server is on high, the game is bustling, and people are having fun.
AA will always be a niche game, because it asks for investment both time wise and socially, but if you are willing to pay in I think it's probably the most rewarding MMORPG out there right now for me

Tell me about hacks, bots, gold spammers and all but, the reality is that AA is the most funny, thrilling and well done MMORPG since Ultima Online. Nuff said!
Laughed hard when peep realized that they stole the ship and start aboarding it to stole packs when they destroy it :P

that ship gameplay looks fun, too bad the amount of generic grind i have to do to be able to reach that point in game is unbearable, and not being able to have a house if im not patron is just a nail in the coffin. I reinstalled the game yesterday to try and progress further and its just too boring to level up... uninstalled again after logging out a few minutes later.
The problem is they missed out in the first 4 hours a server went live ....what I see is a lot of crying over spilled milk by folks that missed the entire point of the game . I mean 6 weeks after release you still have folks crying about being bored trying to level up doing pve quests and not being able to make money because they have no land
Yea it takes about 3 hours in game time to start building your boat ...I can understand how that would be too much grinding for some folks
Yeah I stopped coming here to find out if a game was worth it or not. Because honestly, you'd never play any game ever again. If it's not perfect, it's trash. All these games that come out and people claim are garbage, almost all of them are still going.
AA has some great features in it, and while I am not playing it, I recognize that it is a decent game and will do just fine. I'll probably pick it up if I lose interest in spending all my current game time on Wildstar.

Truth hurts but it is what it is. I am sorry if you can not accept a little fact that WS is losing money and is cause for many losing their job. Sometimes your 'liking' the game has nothing to do with majority of conversations that go on around here. If you stop looking at topics here as people trying to 'attack' your game you won't have much problems settling in.
Actually a lot of folks at this site thought Wildstar was the second coming and heir apparent to WOW ..... I felt foolish playing a game that made me think it was a replacement for Saturday morning cartoons but to be honest two hours of playing it foretold it's future about 4 months before the trend hit these forums

I have no opinion on WS these days, mainly because I don't play it.
The only views I could give would be beta and I I don't give those anymore because they are outdated and probably very wrong.

/shrug... I think you take the word 'hate' in this context way too literally in all honesty.
It's used in the same way as when someone says they 'love' chocolate ice cream. I mean, they clearly don't love it in the real sense, it's just a throwaway exaggerated term.
I wouldn't let it get to you. The same words can be used differently in varying contexts is all. Not worth reporting people over tbh.
ive spent around 10+ hours between 2 characters, one is lvl 18 and the other one is lvl 19. If your comment means that you can build a decent sized boat (like in the OP video) at the beginning of the game (3 hours or less) then good to know. Otherwise, i dont rush mmos.... if you do that just to get a boat at low level then i dont know what to say. I wont rush and make the grind even worst.
He said 'start building your boat'. Not that you will have the boat in three hours.
