A Pve tries Pvp. Community Questions

So I'm and old jaded mmorpg player. Today I bought Darkfall:UW in a return to mmorpg's after  some years off.

 

After doing some research on the game and it's owner, I was thoroughly discouraged by all the complaints, whining, etc., so like a good gamer I bought it anyway.

 

I haven't pvp'ed since my first mmorpg, Asherons Call when it was released years ago, but I'm tired of the pve quest hubs and gear raids and thought I'd get back to pvp for a change. I don't have an epeen to grind, just thought I'd like the thrill in a mmorpg again.

 

My concern is not whether I'll get my ass handed to me or not, or losing gear. My concern is if there are any mature, friendly people in this game. 

 

So my question's are,  how is the community?  are there any friendly, mature acting guilds/players in this game?

Try following clan who are mostly normal mature working people. Battle saints, Dark Side, The Nightcrow Tribe. Or what is the rush? Talk to people about their clan and get hold of their leaders.

There are a few. Last I checked, months ago, the game was mostly deserted.

You will get jumped in the goblin pits, and your gear will get looted, this will go on till you get between 30k to 50k prowess, around that point your toon is maxed out in enough core combat skills, and you will start to become competitive. Get into a good clan, and they can help you advance much faster.

I may return to Darkfall, we shall see, AA is not doing it for me. Anyway, the PvP in DFUW can be visceral and exciting, when you have an equal or fair battle to fight. Enjoy!

FANTASTIC game but imo its dead atm

This is a totaly communicty created content game beyond levvling up or grinding mats from harvest or mob kills etc you need people to play with and against and sometimes thats an issue for this game as the pop took a huge dive.

I had a lot of fun in this game for a almost a year but ive long left now with no plans to return atm but id lovve to see a f2p version with a fresh server or soemthing to address pop as well as certain issues plauging the games econ at this point.

Without massive item drain, f2p will just exacerbate issues with the economy that AV has actually done a decent job of fixing. Population is low, but fights can be found every day and activity is picking up. A few key PvP issues has caused people to "take a break" but those are supposedly being remedied soon.
