Really? Because I'm running around the starting areas pretty much alone. I don't see a lot of groups, and those that are going are veterans slumming. The forum is dead, and for good reason; the community is terrible! Trying to ask for advice just gets you flamed as a noob, and complaining about anything has people jumping on you accusing you of being a troll.
The 3 big issues in this game right now:
1. LAG. Nothing else matters if they don't get this fixed.
2. Character deletion limits. This is a geek-oriented game, and we geeks like to play around. This has to go.
3. Classes. Either ditch the class system entirely, or completely revamp it to make some decent skill combinations workable.
I would add the community, but there's nothing that ZOS can do about that.
1. Nobody is experiencing bad lag outside of Cyrodiil except you. Try upgrading your outdated computer and/or dialup connection for better results.
2. Nobody cares about this but you so nobody cares because nobody cares about you and your contrived "problems".
3. Classes are fine. It's debatable if they went about classes the best way but they are far more flexible than most MMOs and the skill system allows you to basically build a DPS/tank/healer all on one character regardless of your class. That's a hell of a lot of flexibility. It's not changing so get over it.
4. Community is fine. People accuse you of being a troll because you are a troll. Your rabid ESO hate posts are evidence of that. I have zero doubt that you act in a similar manner in game and get the expected response so nobody cares about your community impressions. Everyone else seems to think the community is very good so obviously it's you not the community.
If the game is so bad in your opinion just move along. Nobody will miss you.

This (phasing) hasn't happened in quite a while....Introduced guild stores a long time ago and they sell a TON of items to vets...but you actually have to find the guilds that sell..and it's not hard. The economy is realistic. No Walmarts in ESO. Just shop you have to find and get used to the going rate. Just the way it would be in a fantasy world without the Ebay auction houses in other games.

The traders are also spread out across the entire game world so you sort of have to travel around and you will find some that cater to vet players but some of them are catering to leveling players. It's sort of a PITA to have to do that but that's the system in place. Not a huge fan of this system tbh. The phasing is continually being improved so hopefully you will have less problems with that now and after 1.6.
As for the grouping thing...the leveling quests for the most part are solo content and it's debatable if that is good or bad. I think generally that is good because it allows everyone to progress through the main part of the game without standing around LFG all the time.
There is grouping stuff to do, however. You can do the group dungeons (there are 3 every 10 levels or so starting around level 10). There is a public dungeon in every zone that is geared for groups. There are veteran versions of dungeons later on. There are world bosses and dolmens in every zone. There are also 4 man trials now (in addition to the 12 man). I would also say that many of the achievements are great group content which opens up the dye system. Many of the achievements are tied to the dungeons and killing X number of mobs or require some rare drop from mob types and all that can be done more easily in a group. Even the fishing (again tied to the achievement system) nets better results if you fish in a group (the more ppl fishing a hole the better chance for a rare fish).

It's debatable if they went about classes the best way but they are far more flexible than most MMOs and the skill system allows you to basically build a DPS/tank/healer all on one character regardless of your class. Oh, sure, you can make any role out of any class; that means that the classes are pointless.
Beyond that, it's as if they intentionally made it so that any possible weapon/class synergy is forever just out of reach. This isn't flexible, this is locked down as tight as you could ever imagine!
4. Community is fine. People accuse you of being a troll because you are a troll. Your rabid ESO hate posts are evidence of that. I have zero doubt that you act in a similar manner in game and get the expected response so nobody cares about your community impressions. Of course not; there's no one playing to do the missing!

I mean seriously. You are in no position to make any claim on behalf of entire player base. Especially the 'no lag' part. One look at customer support and would prove you are wrong.
Now OP maybe exaggerating or not but you are doing the same. Two sides of same coin.
I can't believe you guys bothered to reply to codejacks thread. This is the same guy who posted:
"It looks like WoW (cartoonish), it plays like WoW (set piece combat with strictly limited interactions).... it's WoW with an Elder Scrolls skin on it!"
I really don't pay attention to people who think ESO looks like WoW. That's ridiculous, go and get an eye test then come back to the boards.
There's two dozen people, about half the normal forum population.
And my i5 with 8GB of DDR1600 RAM on a Gbit Internet connection is NOT THE PROBLEM.
I did some reading on that thread, and on this other thread that was linked. For some people, there has been an issue since the 1.4 patch. Some people have worked around it, others are still having difficulty. ESO is aware, and is actively trying to work with people to resolve the remaining issues with individual systems. It's not a common issue as you have let out to be, rather a tech problem that a handful of people are still having. The community (that you seems to like to trash) is trying to help those with less tech skills, and the ESO dev's are participating as well to sort out those that are still having problems.

As per your earlier comment here, I thought you were pro build diversity? I would explain at length the freedom, and thus complexity, of the ESO class and build system but it doesn't seem to be working for you. Some games simply don't mesh for some people, and you may just have to accept that this one isn't working for you. There are many others out there.

Firstly, chill out. It's one thing to come into the forums to give an opinion, it's quite another to carry on like you have. Judging by your colorful post history, like here, and here, and even here (where you did a brilliant editing job! ), you have a way of communicating your frustrations and opinions that tends to come across as aggressive, and insulting. So, when you come at people like that, they will react. That is why you are seeing people answer you in a certain tone, and why you encountered in-game moderation.
It really isn't the community. Again, it's an issue of how you are communicating.
<snip>
It really is hard to judge any game if you don't move past level 10. ESO, like many other MMO's, has a character progression that gradually opens up as you level. You can't complain about class or skill diversity if you don't even get past the lowbie intro levels.
Games are meant to be fun. You seem to be having the opposite experience with ESO. Not every peg is supposed to fit in every hole. Find something that you enjoy, and move on.
I'm not going to dissect any more of your posts. It really is a waste of time. You have a half year post history of your dislike for the game, and no one is really here to compel you to play. Rather, I would say, it's probably best if you just find another game and take your amazingly caustic attitude somewhere else.
At this point, it's not even discussion on your part, it's flaming and trolling. Again, going back to your post history, this seems to be a trend.
I'm going to bid you a good day, as I will not be replying to any more of your posts. It is apparent why you are here, and my bag of feed is empty.
What I liked in TESO was that you had to explore a bit to find new quest lines and interesting places. I remember playing it for the first time after Wildstar with "go to next hub, do quests there, get quest redirecting to the next hub" etc. mindset, I was actually skipping a lot of content. Then realized you can just explore and find new stuff to do.
What really killed the game for me, was combat. I played melee templar (sword&board/2h) and TBH it was the most unresponsive, frustrating and not fun melee combat I have ever experienced in MMO.
I don't know, it just didn't feel fun. Templar skills felt boring, slow and weak. I was playing in duo with a caster sorcerer and felt like total weakling. I was running dungeons as a tank, and besides bosses pulls were nightmare to me. Most of them were chaotic AoE zerg.

Good move! "8-bit graphics" and "homosexual story lines" should tell you all you need to know about what you're dealing with.
