Hi, i'm new to the forum and I think someone can help me..
I've been playing L2 for quite a while, at private servers because the game went pretty bad IMO after the retail became f2p and the new chronicles arrived, and I couldn't afford it back then at p2p.
But well, i've managed to play it for something like 8~9 years but after the new games arrived and even the private servers were on newer chronicles I stopped.
I'm currently playing Archeage on the NA servers and i've loved it at the beggining, I really liked the combat mechanics and even though its tab targeting it's pretty fun and fast pvp style, i've loved playing as dark runner and shadowblade ( the assassins kind of class) and the nodachi weapons and beatiful graphics made me stay till now.. well the downside for me, is that the game is more focused in farming, fishing, crafting than actual pvp, well even though it occurs when doing trade runs or at open sea it's mostly a zerg fest or rare occasions besides arena so i'll probably leave it soon as I really don't enjoy the gold farming system and i'm getting behind anyone who enjoy fishing 24/7...
So what i'm really looking is for a more pvp focused f2p mmo, with a fast and smooth combat system, could be tab targeting but with good controls, well I could say almost equal to archeage as I think it's a good balance between action and tab targeting and the movement is pretty good. But after playing it i'm kinda astonished by good graphics so should be some combination of that.
I'm mostly playing assassins, melee burst dps classes as they fit me better..
I've tried TERA for a bit but they don't really have the type of class which I love to play and the pvp seems kinda slow.
tl;dr: Looking for a f2p pvp focused mmo, with combat system like Archeage, and good graphics.

I had some great time pvping in Aion back in the ages. But cannot tell you if it worth playing it right now. (And i think the F2P System is quite restrective )
And as long as i know i don't know a game where open PvP don't end in some form of zerg (I didn't played all the game out there ofc) ...
Try Tera
oops, nevermind, was difficult to read your "one giant paragraph" so my eyes glazed over that you tried it.
aion is still alive so try that, it's a decent game.

I'm not sure Darkfall would be a good fit for you, but thought I would throw it out there for you to check out. It's a sub based mmo with FFA full loot pvp. However, if you earn enough gold in game, you can purchase DUEL which is similar to EVE plex, which basically allows you to play for free. Would be really hard to do in the beginning though. Darkfall is easily the best pvp mmo out right now though. The population has seen its ups and downs and right now its pretty low though. Still lots of fights to be had though.
If you are interested and/or have questions, feel free to pm me.
No, as I explained, it was one giant paragraph and it was difficult to read. I then noted that he did play it.

In truth I think your english is great. It was just the formatting,.
In any case, as I mentioned, try Aion.
You could also try Archlord 2. It's Tab targetting and does have a pvp component so that one person can become "the archlord".

In which case, op, have you tried GW2? There is a pvp component. Can't say they have an assassin class but they do have a thief so maybe that will have what you are looking for.
There is a half off sale until Nov. 9th.

Well i've had no problem with the p2w elements at Archeage, I bought patron in a few days playing without spending real money, the thing is I didn't liked the farming, fishing, and trade run elements, and that's all the making gold process at the game, i'm rather do dungeons, instances or grind mobs and this is not an option of making money there..
Mobs have a 50% chance to drop a coinpurse which has another chance of dropping something that will give you 10~15g, so it's all luck.
And yeah I can play a b2p game, and if that's the case "maybe" a p2p, but I can't make a subscription without testing or really enjoying the game first, yet I still need hints of games, so feel free to tell me some.
I would try either Aion or Knight Online, I'm currently playing Knight Online but without spending real cash it will take years to compete with the best but if you want a game to last you 2-3 years then knight online could be the game for you.
Pm me i would help you.
GW2 has imo the best assassin-type class and best combat system in any mmo.
It has two pvp formats, a battleground-type system (5v5 capture the node) with equalized gear/levels (making it skill based rather than gear based) and pvp rankings.
It also has a very good "open world" pvp system, I say "open world" in quotations because it is actually separate to the main pve game- ie you can't gank people doing quests and so forth, but it pits what used to be servers (I think) against other servers fighting for castles, resources and the like (called WvW- world vs world). WvW is not gear/level equalized, high level/powerful gear gives a big advantage.
The assassin-type class is called a thief and it is a ton of fun to play, very dynamic. The combat is a mix of tab targeting and "action combat", but is extremely polished and has a lot of innovative features. You can both watch and listen for combat tells to anticipate what your enemy is about to cast. For example when a player low on health casts a heal the casting animation might show him raising his hand, so you can quickly interrupt the heal if you are on the ball. Or, if a player is blinded or on fire/etc, they actually say "I can't see", "I'm burning" etc; if you get a cripple condition your character will actually start limping. Its pretty amazing actually, I haven't seen any other mmo take combat to such a deep level and pull it off so well.
