Yeah, I quit the game and recently tried getting back into it hopefully to also get some land with the addition or Auroria but it just wasn't doing it for me. I know Trion is not the dev for this game, so it is not fully their fault but they did make the conscious decision of releasing the patch with all these hacks still not taken care of.
It's really sad, I was hoping to hop back in the fun but guess not

The Land Hacking problem is pretty game breaking man..I feel bad for the guys that didnt get anything because they were locked out and the bots insta teleporting over to claim all the housing, never seen nothing like that, ever

The land acquisition system is totally broken. The concept was good but the implementation was horrible. The whole system needs to be re-worked from the ground up. I quit before the Auroria patch. I am glad too because I did not have to witness that hack fest that went on.
No lifers with all the time in the world will continue to play it, guys who like fishing or dontmind running trade packs all day long. Oh and the hackers, cheaters and bots will still be there.
But I cant see how the game survives this latest disaster. 0 for 2 on launches that allowed land claims.
The game has a ton of potential but the management of the game is maybe the worst I have ever seen on any level.
Legit players dont have a chance in this game unles they have 12 hours a day to play or are willing to spend a few thousand in real life cash. And even then theyre not going to be all that competitive on a PvP level.
The game launched just 7 weeks ago to a complete disaster, it lost a lot of people since then. This update wa supposed to be the thing that set the ship right, but all it did was make it worse.
Its hard to say free to play games fail but ones that had so many people pay for advanced access and home grow fanbois this game is crashing and burning. I would love to know how many people have done charge backs or asked for refunds. It has to be a significant number.
Mixed feelings for me I like the game quite a bit it has awesome potential but it is painfully obvious thee is zero intention of making the game better and these continued failures and complete disregard for the player base makes it obvious no one, developer or publisher, cares for anything but how much cash the game will make them.
The most telling thing is that the game has been so terrible starting out that they thought it was a good idea to give additional subscription time (basically doubled it) for a free to play game where people can buy sub time with in game gold. That is their offering for the 10% market place discount bait and switch, the complete disaster of the head start, the continued inability for many people to get their patron status verified, and now this utter disaster of an update. These things dont even address the ongoing and more hurtful problems of hackers, bots and scripters. Its so rampant and obvious that 'legit' players are using hacks and mods and whatever knowing full well they wont get caught or banned if they do.
There isnt a single thing this game does well and everything that it does happen are the things that completely destroy every MMO ever made.
I suspect in a month the servers will be complete ghost towns. Most were already at anemic levels and after tonight I cant see it getting any better.
So Trion Worlds did in fact "drop the ball" on this game they know they did and I for one have asked AMEX for a refund which I will get but I now have a f2p account which I prolly should have went with to start...Love the game but has so many cash shops issues and hackers(aka script kiddies.
Scapes while yes he is the community manager the people in charge need to speak up none of your servers even at high peak 10 percent of the time after all this and they know it.
Still love game but sad how Trion has handled this with XLGames

I warened everybody numerous time when the game launched that this game was bound to fail cause of how easy it is to hack it.
