The thread is 7 and a half years old. At this point it has turned into little more then 'big number porn' spam to somehow entice a response from this community who seem to care little about the "value" of these numbers or the completely forced relation with anything resembling quality. The only thing I have learned from it is that it took CIG a decade to gain the amount of people Diablo 3 managed to gain in roughly one day. Whoopdidoo.

'This does not apply just to ED but SC or any other game. What they will get is Rebirth/X4, likely prettier but equally underwhelming and pointless.
It is incredibly difficult to design some meaningfull leg content that would fit a space ship game - simply because it is not a leg game.
It is just huge resource waste....'

Tax return money is spent and funding pace is slowing slightly. Summer is coming up so I'll guess (that's what we do here lol) $475 by around Oct and $500 around New Years.
Does the amount raised even matter for the game development any longer? It seems their paths diverged long ago. I'd love to see milestones and a roadmap leading to launch instead of an open ended funding counter.

Yes but in a recent update they added getting armor and clothing dirty, to varying degrees even.
Sometimes the reason stuff like this has never been seen before is it's not really necessary or doesn't enhance gameplay in any significant way

I would love to see things like, Combat Damage, Age, clothing visually wearing out (Assuming the game has item decay), weather, environmental stressors, hot breath in cold air, and all that jazz.
Lets be honest, all that stuff enhances gameplay, while not as cool as ass physics, it's still a neat effect.
Egotism is the anesthetic that dullens the pain of stupidity, this is why when I try to beat my head against the stupidity of other people, I only hurt myself.
