Micro transaction ? You mean buying platinum to open a couple extra boxes ? It was in mass effect 3 multiplayer too, there is nothing new here and certainly not worth mentioning in a review. I don't expect more than .1% of the people to buy it.

Some of us won't purchase a $60 game if it also has microtransactions in it. The ME3 reviews mentioned the presence of it, there's no fucking reason this review shouldn't. It's not like years and years have passed and every game is doing it now. It's literally just been in dead space 3 from EA between ME3 and now, not enough games that you take it as a given it'll be in the game.
Ok sketocafe, the game is totally p2w. You can buy everything with money. People will be in awe, chanting the prowess of those that got all the gear in the game! If you don't like the fact that some people will progress faster than you, I'd advise to stick with the solo part of the game maybe.

Yeah, because that was my argument. This game has a full box price as well as microtransactions. I've never supported that shit in the past, and I don't want to now. My question is simply why did Ford neglect to mention the presence of microtransactions in this review?
The review seems to be about the reclaiming the RPG crown and how the game is a fantastic RPG. I doubt the multiplayer is part of that experience ,could have been why it was left out.
For people looking for the single player experience the multiplayer aspect will hold no significance but I do not understand if you are not going to buy a game based on micro transaction should it not behoove you to check before you buy since that is an important criteria .Why would you rely on a review ?
Come to think of it it is referred to in a round about way because she says it takes the route of ME 3 and expands on it. So anyone who knows that micro transaction exists in ME 3 would realise it is so for this game too. No need to spell it out I guess.

Check how? Less than a year ago reading a review would be checking because they would actually tell you. Now, not so much. Also, taking the comparison to ME3 multiplayer to mean monetization rather than modes or how it plays is a huge stretch. This was something important enough to be touched on in reviews up until now, why isn't it now?
Could be because it's a given now. Doesn't Call of Duty and other FPS and TPS monetize too their multiplayer . I guess it is more common and taken for the norm now.

you know that's not a half bad idea...
I should revisit Origins and then hopefully when I have played it all the way through again with all the add ons etc, perhaps DA:I will be finished.
Good call.
