Auroria launch was pretty much the last straw for me. Even though my guild got a castle, just the way Trion handled it was so God-awful that I can't find the will to invest any more in this game if they aren't even willing to.
Either way Auroria US launch was fubard, no question about that.
So what can XL Games do at this point (realistically speaking)? The way this patch was handled has driven, and will probably continue to drive people away. XL Games has patch 1.7 but nothing else after that, unless some big announcement came out this week. From the major Korean outlets the last major update (which was 1.7) was talked about in June/July for the most part:
I honestly don't see 1.7 coming to our shores till January at the earliest, I'm not sure what TRION is going to say/do/act in the meantime to help mitigate the issues that 1.2 brought.

1.7 didnt launch long time ago in Korea, was only a few months ago.
One thing i didnt understand yet is it gives me the idea that our version is a mix of korean versions insted of be a "core" one.
For example, the "trade info" is a 1.7 feature launched in Lorea and our version allready have it. Maybe this "mix" increase the change of bugs and problems, no idea.
The best thing imo is Trion/XLGames work in launch the 1.7 here as soon is possible, and maybe is what they are doing contribute to all the mess atm.

Only time will tell.
Yea, from what I heard, I was under the impression the western version of AA was a strange freaky frankenstein of the various Korean updates. Hasla was a lot earlier than other features, Auroria was later, and the sister dungeon that's supposed to accompany Serpentis gear to upgrade it isn't out.
Overall, also from what I hear, that's kinda contributed to the mess. Releasing some features that were intended to be released with others, but not releasing the other features, and releasing them too early or too late in the game's life stage compared to the actual game's life stage they were intended for is typically not a good idea.

Yeah you raise a good point. 1.7 really isn't a clean slate anymore. It seems XL is sort of mixing and matching between previous builds and maybe even territorial builds. I honestly don't know how much QA'ing is going on over there. I hope XL triple checks 1.7 before it gets here, we definitely need it. My guess it won't arrive till January at the earliest, unless they made an announcement.

Its time to Trion start doing what they promise, like the test server to minimize future problems with patchs.

Back then during the relaunch of FF14 there was a version of this where Hitler was YoshiP and would say stuff like:
What do you mean the early access time for them is 3am? I don't care about their fairy land time!
That was funny - this clip is just dull.
