wow 420 servers are locked or full.

ArcheAge2014ArcheAge2014 Member UncommonPosts: 135

what is going on all 420 servers are either locked or full few highs, alot of them have queues.

did warlords of draenor revived wow back up to 12 million subscribers?

even pvp servers that were low before warlords of draenor were either low and dead are locked and full.

jesus what the hell is going on?

Blizz is having latency issues, so they lowered the server population cap for now....

In attempts to pinpoint latency related issues we’ve temporarily lowered the maximum number of people allowed in each realm. This will result in higher queue times as realms who have populations above the cap will not allow any new players in until it decreases back down below the new player cap. We’re continuing work on this and other issues impacting game latency.

guess wow will never die lol. So much for wow is dying i guess. but jesus i didnt think warlrods woudl bring life back to all those empty dead pvp servers with queues to boot.

    kudos blizz well played.

    http://www.mmo-champion.com/content/4510-Warlords-of-Draenor-Launch-Update

We’re excited to finally launch Warlords of Draenor and explore this new world with you, but we know that the experience has been less than ideal as we approach our first full day of launch.

Europe was our first region to launch, and we encountered a few issues due to the sheer number of players attempting to enter Draenor from a single location. We worked to add multiple new ways to access Draenor, and this helped ease some of the initial rush into the new expansion as players were able to access it from their capital cities, as well as from the shrines in Pandaria.

While that solution helped a ton for our North American launch, we ran into a few other issues, including a distributed denial of service attack, that resulted in increased latency.

To help correct for this and other issues, we’ve temporarily lowered maximum realm populations. This means there will be high queue times experienced on high-population realms.

Here are some of the other important issues we’re currently working to address:

    • Instance servers timing out, which may impact dungeon access
    • Continent server issues, which are resulting in Player Not Found and disconnection issues
    • Garrison server issues, which are resulting in phasing and performance issues
We’ll post updates here as we make progress against these issues. Thank you for your zeal to face down the tyranny of the Iron Horde—and for your continued patience as we work to improve the current experience.

I came back after a 3 year hiatus, and I know probably 15 or so others who've done the same in my little multi-gaming guild.  I'd wager it did bring back quite a few folks.  So far, with the little I've been able to play, the Lore is pretty sweet.

they will re open  the server at full capacity when they find out the problem. .by locking everything they will pinpoint the problem faster. at least the server are not close/shotdown.

You know lowering the population cap is not fixing the problem, right?

I don't understand how this is even possible. I mean, we just saw definitive proof in this highly popular poll http://www.mmorpg.com/discussion2.cfm/thread/423299/Poll-WoW-WoD-yay-or-nay.html that the majority of people weren't buying WoD. Do you mean to tell me that the poll wasn't accurate?

The queue times are attrocious.  I JUST broke the 3000 in queue mark but have been sitting in queue for 45 minutes.  The wait time is well over 2 hours.  I want to say closer to four hours.  I'm on the Wyrmrest Accord server and it's just...god almighty....So many of the US servers are having issues.

*claps sarcastically* Well done, Blizzard.  Well done.  After how many years you can't figure out how to mitigate the amount of people coming into a new expansion?  Hell, City of Heroes and Guild Wars 2 have overflow servers.  What the fuck is your excuse?

You know it's step 1 in standard trouble shooting procedure.  My buddy (phd in comp sci) who teaches networking and computer forensics at the local community college and state university said he would added it to his lectures next week.

Did you not read the previous two posts before posting this second time ?  They both explained to you why all the servers seem full and its nothing to do with them bringing back the millions of players that they lost . I sure they have brought back a fair few though .

For it to be like going back to 2004 there would have to actual extensive world pvp and challenging leveling content through the entire game beyond level 20 .

I know your probably a bit over excited at the moment so thats why you have come on here and made these posts . It does seem a more interesting expansion than the last two lackluster ones . Its just a shame they couldn't  brought this out 4 years ago .

That's basic knowledge, as most people in-game seem to know that too. Actually, a lot of players would like Blizzard to shut down the server so that they have no hinder. But that's not the point now, the point is: Nothing is fixed, and certainly not fast. So the following post is simply incorrect:

''Good call from blizz to lower the population..they know how to fix things fast and effective! Not like ass-fuck-of-a-circus-company trion...hope those fuck burn in hell!''

OMG what? Server issues on "launch" day! Worst company and MMO ever. Im going to demand a refund and spend the next month raging nonstop about how much of a failure WoW is and how Blizzard ruined my life!

That is the standard for every game now that has something like this happen isnt it? Or is WoW somehow immune to it, even though considering the 10 years the game has been running, all their money, and their huge staff that they should be the last company to be having such an issue.

Now you know how insignificant this site is.

While I do think WoD did gain numbers, its no where near the big numbers your imagining. Its simple a lot of people jumping on at once for the next expansion  who wouldn't be playing actively... then having server issues due to issues on blizzard's side. The traffic isn't really the big cause of the problem, its issues with the game itself or network trouble.

It wouldn't be a Blizzard launch without massive launch day issues.  You can get away with this kind of thing when you are the king.
