I loaded this up full well expecting to say "another asian zero depth grindfest turd, a beautiful looking turd, but souless generic turd none the less". However, its not a standard MMO its an ARPG, my favorite genre as of late. 18 classes and it looks this good, which is usually an achilles heel for that genre.
The thing is, I understand showing this, but is it even going to have a US release, and if so isn't this 4 years off? Shame but by then at the rate gaming is going I'll be retired from this hobby by then, its sickening the trends going on nowadays. Still I can't believe I'm saying that a Korean game actually has my attention.
Looks amazing, I will be following this one for sure.

And almost all that money in SmileGate came from a single F2P FPS game largely disdained in the West called Crossfire with 4.5 Billion USD revenue in 7 years.
Most studio can afford to build several AAA MMORPGs with that insane amount of profits.

This looks GORGEOUS, but isn't it an MORPG, not an MMO? I see that parties can be formed, but I don't see a bunch of people encountering each other. Maybe that's revealed in a later trailer.
There's nothing more gratifying than playing an MMO for free.

Its an ARPG like Diablo
This site has stopped covering MMOs exclusively for years.
Yes, but when the title of your post explicitly refers to something as an "Action MMO," that breeds certain expectations. Expectations that are entirely different from a Diablo-style game.
Everyone in this thread clearly hasn't done enough research on the game. They've stated that this is, undeniably, a MMORPG. It will have an open world. It will have a world map.

Yeah this is gonna be awesome by the looks of it.
But is it actually an MMO? From what I can see watching that it's an action RPG like PoE and D3. Anyone know what's "MMO" about this?

Currently playing: Black Desert Korea (Waiting for EU)
Always hating on instances in MMOs! Open worlds, open PvP, territory control and housing please. More persistence, more fun.
Absolutely nothing.
We're calling everything MMOs these days.
Yeah, pisses me off.
Looks like a great game none the less, I'll give it a bash on release. Love action RPG's and I can be casual with them to an extent.
