Sigh. It is to bad that the beta is sold out. I thought I had until release (mid Dec) to buy it, and now there is no real incentive to buy it early. I guess I will just wait until Jan or so, and let the bugs shake out a bit.
Yeah, I wasn't expecting it to be sold out either. Really surprised. I guess they do really want to have a cutover and stop getting more players as they ramp up their production servers, etc. Can't think of any other reason why they would do that.

Only the beta is not sold anymore, you can still pre-order however which adds some benefits. Most interesting of those are a discount compared to the price after release and early access to the tutorial missions.
Played the first three of them today. Pretty cool, although setting up the controls took a while. I'm a complete n00b with a joystick, but the first combat missions were very easy still. Especially when I toggled off inverse yaw (eek!) The advanced ones should be pretty tough, though.
The combat is quite exhilirating. Was definitely missing a Rift or TrackIR. Wonder when CV1 is ready and what specs and requirements it will have.
My arm alSo got a little sore from the stick. Either from not being used to it because the table's too high. Or both.

"going into arguments with idiots is a lost cause, it requires you to stoop down to their level and you can't win"
No sub, one-time fee, micropayment for cosmetic items and eventually expansions for walking in stations, planet landing, etc.
A good source of information imo is this unofficial faq
Very, very good indeed, thank you.
