I checked this out, seems pretty cool.
For the most part it will be community built, which gives way more freedom in this sandbox style mmorpg for making awesome mods and content.
They have 11 days to go on Their Kickstarter and the spots seem to be filling up fast. I for one will be getting one of those pre-alpha spots.
What does everyone else think about this?

I'm really sorry to say, but if you believe that you go through your daily life without interacting with people who are racist in some regard, you're completely naive. Sorry, but I'd much rather wait for the official response from the company than jump in with my pitchfork. Basically you're saying that:
"Shards is listed on Kickstarter which has an employee who is apparently racist, therefore Kickstarter is racist, therefore Citadel Studios is racist." *stomp stomp* hoorah! Let's band together on the witch hunt!!!

Kickstarter is an avenue of Citadels Success in pushing out something everyone is interested in....which is NOT kickstarters internal drama....
As such Citadels kickstarter is doing great, because of their concepts and ideas being made manifest !
