I've been playing the Life is Feudal: Your Own Alpha, and it's amazing even how it is right now. I can only imagine it in an MMO setting. There is little griefing, because there are strong penalties finally for doing such activities. If you run around killing everyone and got -200 reputation, if you die, you're going to lose a ton of skillpoints, and it's hard to regain alignment as well. Which keeps griefing to a very low minimum. Not to mention, that skills are harder to level than it is to get gear, so the griefers play at a disadvantage always.
where the poop are camelot unchained and Shroud of the avatar on the list?!?!
RIP Ribbitribbitt you are missed, kid.

Originally posted by Anthur Black Desert Nah, after AA I got enough of korean MMOs for the rest of my life. They are just not made for the west.
EQN Aimed at children and super casuals. Shouldn't have EQ in it's name.
H1Z1 Another zombie shooter. Looks 100 % like DayZ, maybe with more players. But I am tired of zombies.
Life is Feudal Indie company. I wish them the best but MMOs are too giant for an indie company. Indie MMO usually stand for innovation including bad quality/service/support, slow updates, bugs. And what I have seen so far matches that oppinion.
Shard Online No clue about that one, have to look it up. But already your short description doesn't sound promising.
Star Citizen Ah, the star ship selling MMO. No thanks. Also this release in little parts is not my cup of tea. But I will follow it's progress which is very funny to do so.
The Division Not an MMO imo, as you said a third person shooter. Played more of them than I remember.
The Repopulation. Another indie not up to what it takes to run an MMO. Sorry, but good luck like always for indies.
Warhammer 40K The setting is not my cup of tea.
World of Warships (Wow ? lol) Not an MMO in my book. Like WoT and all the rest.
So, nothing for me, but I knew that already. There is no MMO at the horizon currently I am hyped for. P.S. Please add "imo" to all.
I'd say a cup of tea is not your cup of tea.
Oh my god archeage sucked there for ALL games created by koreans suck.
Why is this not just seen as racism? List the amount of american games that sucked, do people summarily dismiss all future american games?
Just sounds ridiculous.

not feeling any of them.. maybe WH40K i really wish it wasn't a shooter though i hate those.. but suppose i could give it a try. that universe is super cool.
Repopulation might be cool but i'm sceptical.. haven't seen a good indie release yet.
WH40K is on my list but I feel like the devs are listening a bit to the f2p crowd.

Totally agree. If he really thinks EQN is releasing by next summer I want some of what he's smoking.
The down side of most of those games is the center focus is on PVP,something that has NOT been a favorite of rpg gamers,so why many going in that direction is mind baffling.
Shards and possibly a long shot on Next and Desert, however the more i know about Next and Desert turns me away.Shards seems to be the game with some chance with me so ill have to wait and see.
PvP is ALWAYS the question that's asked if a game includes it. If you don't have PvP your playerbase will decrease way more than if you didn't have PvE (yes you'll then have an arena game). This is because of the e-sport way of thinking for gamers in general. More gamers who play online want to play against other players (MOBAs, Hearthstones, Halos... ). Devs don't want to separate "MMORPG" gamers from the typical gamers population. You can see this pretty well by how they've introduced their fast travelling system.
This is what I like about Shards Online...Don't like PVP? Delete the rule...Want PvP Hardcore when you die your character is deleted?..Put in the rule...Want to rape a characters inventory when killed?...Put in the rule.. Want strict PVE vs monsters? use the rule..Shards will let you. And if your not a builder, you can be sure someone will most likely host you kind of server...
Everquest Next is about it for me, and there's very few signs that it will even be released in 2015...
Shroud of the avatar was something I was looking forward to...until I shelled out the cash for the early access on Steam.. The warning flags and money pit of "in game rewards" are already making me loose all hope, not to mention the combat...
A lot of rumous about BnS releasing in 2015 summer and not mention of it :C BD hype is so real and im sitting here not seeing what's so good about it, looks like another typical korean mmo with a bit of a movement system.
I'm the hardcore player, the one that rushes lvl cap before you even finish the starting area.
While I still dig Eq2 and still log into EQ from time to time. I am not interested Everquest Next, an MMO that is ported for console. Tried it, (DC Universe, Defiance) and didn't like it.

Well at least one of the games my list was on your list. That being Shards Online (which I'm a backer of an plan on running a shard because why not )

I'm cautiously optimistic but after the dross of the last 4 years who knows??
Shard Online
Life is Feudal
Skyforge
Will have to read up on these as I know pretty much nish about them..
I'm the hardcore player, the one that rushes lvl cap before you even finish the starting area.
There are 2 games missing on that list that should certainly have been on it...
-Skyforge
-Lineage etternal
How could someone interested in MMos not put them on that list?
Best MMO experiences : EQ(PvE), DAoC(PvP), WoW(total package) LOTRO (worldfeel) GW2 (Artstyle and animations and worlddesign) SWTOR (Story immersion) TSW (story) ESO (character advancement)
