So OP does not remember his password and it's Origins fault. Of course it is. Remember kids, if you lose your house keys and can't get back into the house, then it is obviously the houses fault.

I wanted to buy Dragon Age Inquisition BUT the stupid retarded crappy software doesn't want to let me login. I am sure my password is correct but this piece of shitty spyware still doesn't let me in. I tried to retrieve my password but this piece of crap software doesn't  even send me an email to reset my password.

How the fuck am I supposed to play the new Dragon Age with this piece of shit software? Makes me wander if it's not easier just to pirate this cause Origin sure as hell makes it impossible to login.

Wait... You're blaming Origin because you forgot your password? Huh?

Funny how you posted in a topic 5 months later. Both of you should read the post above yours. The main issue was with origin taking 10 hours to send the password recovery email.

The fact that you blamed the software at all for you forgetting your password means you went looking for things to complain about with Origin and you can't be taken seriously.

If it's the same issue I had it's because you haven't logged onto their website in a while and they now require a few extra bits of info like a secret question.  If you haven't entered that it won't let you log in through the program.

TLDR: Log onto the website entirely then log in through the application - could fix it.

I did when it was still pretty new, and it just wouldn't accept my ME3 bonus content code. Eventually it worked though, and after that I've had zero issues with it.

And as mentioned above... if Origin is so taxing on your PC, you have bigger problems to worry about.

I dealt with Origin when bf3 came out ( my favorite pc game series). After that annoying experience I no longer play any game that requires it.

Origin doesn't really bother me.  I login to my game and I'm done.  I suppose if I did more with it, I would see some issues.

If it is not a multiplayer game and it is from EA I never spend a cent on it. They have enough ill gotten gains and have no right to being treated fairly as a company, so take what you want and screw paying for it.

^Which is why the future of gaming is games that require you to be connected to the server even when playing single player (à la Diablo 3) image

I'm sure you'll find a reason to hate each publisher so you can justify pirating their games.

Guaranteed OP hasn't even attempted to contact customer support.

I've had these issues in the past, especially with their password systems as they had issues when they transitioned form the old EA accounts to the new it was a bit of a hassle but their customer support was great, got all my info and fixed everything and were VERY polite.

As far as spyware goes, my antivirus or malware detects nothing, could you elaborate a bit more? Sounds a whole lot like half cocked tinfoil hat conspiracy at this point.

I can't more than agree, Origin is incredible buggy and my laptop can't run it for some reason. It worked on my desktop but not very well. Makes Steam run like a dream in comparision.

Personally i like Origin. It makes it easier for me to see, whether i'll be playing a new game or not. Considering what EA releases these days, that means pretty much none of their games.

In other words, it's not getting on this PC. :)

    Caps Lock?

Serious, no problem with Origin launcher software on my end, ever.

Might look at a issue on your end before raging , probably you  are not using the correct password or have noted down the wrong one.

Maybe even used the wrong email to verify, or you might just have had a keylogger on your machine and got the d in the a by a hacker.

I am no fan of Origin and their launcher etc, but have NEVER had any issues with logging in or even changing account info and changing email, always got a nice verify email sent to me.

I can only give one idea because it has happened to me in the past.

Perhaps just possibly they have a region setting,so you are for example a NA account trying to login to Europe.

    just a thought,this does happen.

    simple anser; EA.

sorry to hear you have problems with Origin but any software usually has it's own problems (assuming you are certainly entering correct info) and some get unlucky and have to deal with them. Origin is not as bad as people like to make it out be right now. EA is an evil company right now that keep destroying other small companies but that doesn't make Origin the worst software and it won't make all their games bad as well. people that keep hating anything related to EA aren't helping the situation at all.

if you want your hate to mean something, hate when it is 100% justified. for example when they destroyed Sim franchise and Maxis.

    my top MMOs: UO,DAOC,WoW,GW2

most of my posts are just my opinions they are not facts,it is the same for you too.

Does anyone else remember Steam's early days?  Origin is a godsend in comparison.

It's been a slow month for the Electronic Arts hate wagon. Someone had to jump start it.
