I had a response that like 4 paragraphs trying to go into detail explaining it but i will sum it easier,or try to.
Pacifists ruin gaming, they buy anything the developer is selling them and likely will not complain if there are glaring problems. If nobody cares the developer does not care and will continue to sell you unfinished work full of glitches bugs and cheating, they simply DON'T care.
It actually takes a LARGE vocal crowd before a developer will get off their lazy ass,i was going to post many examples but made my post too long.
Bottom line is if you see something you would like improved speak out. Also quite often VERY often new players are not yet at the problem area, they might like to know before they get there and speak out as well.BOTH in game and in forums there are occasions reps are there listening sop it never hurts to speak out IF you want your game improved and i cannot see one single reason why you would not ALWAYS want your game improved.
You know why devs started moving on botting and cheats? It was because gamer's were complaining, devs don't care,if you don't speak out they will simply ignore it.What is worse if often times you point out cheating, they will ban you,it is like they want to keep it a secret, they don't want any negativity on their game, they are in the business of making money, they really don't care about the customer until you complain.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
Well it makes no sense to complain about a game I'm not playing. I could sit here and tell you all the things I found wrong with Warhammer Online but well I haven't played it for years and the game itself died, so what is the point?
The most recent MMORPG I played was Archeage so if I'm going to complain about any game it will be that one.
I suspect most of the in game "bitching" are just tongue in cheek comments made to attract attention to themselves. If the players were really that unhappy with the game they wouldn't be playing it.
There are certain queer times and occasions in this strange mixed affair we call life when a man takes this whole universe for a vast practical joke, though the wit thereof he but dimly discerns, and more than suspects that the joke is at nobody's expense but his own. -- Herman Melville
I usually start complaining when I quit... which tends to be within 1 week to 1 month from the time I start.
And it will likely be this way until an actual MMOrpg is released. I place an emphasis on the MMO portion because I do not see the need to have other people around me if they are not needed.

Your suspicion would be correct... IF there were actually any real options out there as to where else to go. As a matter of fact, I am guessing that as all of these new "Action combat" MOBAFPSinMMORPGclothing games come out over the next 2-3 years, the b!tching will intensify greatly.
That's a poor false dilemma. If you don't like what the mmorpg genre is currently offering then don't play any of it. Play a different genre. Stop playing videos game all together for a while.
Playing whatever is out there just because you want to play something only promotes a direction you don't like.

For the same reason marriage failure rates are so high.... the game looks and sounds good at first, but then after you try it for awhile you find flaws and mechanics that are unbearable or irreconcilable. Although, why complain about it? Unless you actually think they are going to change the whole game if you whine enough....
The code of the pessimistic loner: "We unpopular loners are realists, who follow the three non- popular principles: Not having any (Hope), Not making any (Gaps in your heart); And not giving into (Sweet talk)".
Given an MMORPG players seeks an MMORPG, and has seen MMORPGs in the past that have been satisfying... the fact that one has not recently been found that satisfies does not mean that player will stop playing MMORPGs and likewise does not mean that MMORPG player has any reason to go outside of said genre. That is just silly to even suggest.
Hmm .. there is. To have fun. MMORPG is not the only entertainment that is entertaining, even to "MMORPG players".
In the Gaming Community, amongst those playing "XYZ" game complaining is the sincerest form of flattery. There is a large numbers of players ion most any popular MMORPG game who have either reached an extremely high level in the game, thus
reaching a point of boredom because leveling is mega-grueling or they have maxed out the levels. We all know idle minds wander.and its times like these that breeds discontentment, thus bringing complaints.
The last scenerio is a lot of high level players, based on their own centered ego, tend to think that their high in-game level gives
them this uncanny ability to know whats BEST for the game and everyone in it....
Pendulum effect, while they like the game it's all the way to the right and everything is great and perfect with the world, as soon as anything is not to their liking they swing all the way to the left and the world is crashing down around them.
People seem to have lost that balance that you need to take the good and bad and the world is never going to be all sunshine and hookers.
I play a lot of MMOs, Some full world others lobby shooters and others MOBAs but in them all where there is any kind of chat you always find someone complaining about the game THAY ARE CURRENTLY IN!!
I am amazed because if you think the game sucks or is "a turd" or nerfed to be unplayable, or "Full of noob kiddies that don't know how to play" why do you continue to login and play this game?
Can anyone explain this to me?
- When trolls bitch about the game they are playing they know the blind fanboys will bite and start a trollfest.
- When people who really enjoy the game point out flaws the game has and give opinions about possible improvements, the trolls and the blind fanboys take it personally and start the trollfest.
The option to turn off chat in mmos is a blessing. If i want to talk i join a guild or play with real life friends.
simple You can't bash a game you have not played right ! but other then that maybe they really want to love their game and dislike it when the hype and promises are not met ! so they bash games, I think people want a game to really truly love that is addictive as much as it is fun! with old friends and New ones! and not solo your way through ! Why new Games want to kill healers and the trinity system like as in guild wars 2 tried ! or just 24/7 zurg! Team work or wipe! or TRain to zone!

Whereas that may likely be true for many MMORPGers, I personally have no interest in other genres, whatsoever.
You are missing out ... but of course that is your prerogative to not like anything else but MMORPGs (or even a more narrower slice ... the classical style of MMORPGs).
Personally, i find a lot of fun entertainment, and MMOs are just some ... and not even a major part (for me of course). For example, talking about them seems to be more fun than most of them (aside from marvel heroes, star conflict, and may be a few more).
They are not playing the game but say are. Often they see other MMOs as competition for their MMO. They may just have something against an element of the MMOs design. For example not liking P2P MMOs, not liking MMOs with anime design, not liking themeparks and so on. Such players often did play the game in beta then leave and post about the MMO for months after launch as if they are still playing and nothing in the game has changed.
For those who actually are playing the game. They are often quite young, I could be wrong here but the sort of language used reminds me of myself as a teenager. The over usage of terms like love and hate, saying you are going to leave the game unless x or y happens. The long leaving post or thread, railing against the game, having a go at the designers, the players, anything really. This does not lead me to believe the majority or these posts are being done by people over 30.
It's also fun to point out what's positive about the game you're currently playing. But everything can be taken in extreme excess. Almost as annoying as someone who sees only what is wrong with the world around them are the positive butts who defend their games and will not let you say one word against it. There's a happy well adjusted middle ground.
Personally I try to match my positive and negative. Instead of only saying, "The dungeons are to trinity dependent!" I would be more like, "the graphics are awesome but...."
What gets me is how the general populace do not see the hard work the artists and devs put forth. Hard work is not rewarded. Yeah I wanted housing where my character could sit at a table and eat like a sim. But I realize that it took someone a long time to program my sword arm swinging. Even if I'm grinding thru orcs and sick of it and would rather be customizing my wardrobe. I know it took someone a while to make the clouds rolling over my head and the grass sway and the rocks look natural. So no matter how much bitching I really do appreciate the advancement in tech and art and the people painstakingly working behind my entertainment.
Lastly, appreciation should be a class taught in elementary school. How to appreciate without acting brainwashed.

Why not? It makes more sense to try a game for 15 min, not liking it, and bash it, than spending weeks on it, then bash it.
people are ambitious and ALWAYS want more.......... or is that entitled?
