ESO going F2P?

Been reading quite a bit of rumour that they have scrubbed the 6 month subs option, a lot of speculation this is a precursor to going F2P.

Any ideas?

Expresso gave me a Hearthstone beta key.....I'm so happy :)

    ESO launch was a mess and IMO sucked large. They have done a lot of updates and maybe an awesome game now but people like me wont pay another red cent to find out if its worth it after getting burned so bad the first time. IMO, Some form of F2P model could get a lot players like me giving them a second chance. I personally think letting you play to level 20-30 for free maybe a good move.

    My opinon, WoW will go f2p before ESO. My opinion on the six month sub, they removed so that they would not have to give the 6 month discount. They said they removed it becaus very few used it. Those who had a 6 month sub are still able to renew their 6 month sub though. 

     

    There are 2-3 topics here on the subject already though.

    IBear in mind you can get the game for £10, that's pretty cheap even if you did only play to 30. People who have previously bought if know why they left, so it's easy enough to find out if the issues you had are resolved IMO.
