    I don't think they should really come down on the users in this case. It was a giant fuck up on their part with results that will have no real effect on the game now that it is corrected. This feels like an overreaction to their own mistake. The tiny amount of content in this game is so precious that they have a coronary over any little bit of it slipping into player hands without time or a sacrifice of credit card charges.

    It sucks that the devs get put in positions where they have to ban their customers.  I do not see any other solution, though.

    Nice thinly veiled attack on the game. Just kidding it wasn't good at all. It wasn't a tiny amount of gear and it has long lasting repercussions because the armorings and barrels and whatnot can be reverse engineered and sold on the GTN. So right now there are people out there with the ability to make best in slot items that did nothing but log in and loot the items. It usually takes months for there to be more than 1-2 people per server to provide these items as people would rather get the item and equip rather than take a chance at losing the item and having nothing to show for it.
