As for Blackmeat's post.
Free weekend was set in place in order to raise awareness to the gaming community and bring some fresh blood in our game. Was it hasty? Yes it was, and we didn't expect such a huge influx of new players. We stated that in a previous thread anyway.
Although this free weekend was crucial in order to see some of the flaws in the NPE. Better later than never, as we can now fix it and hopefully convert more players into loyal ones in our next planned trial versions.
As you already know, we're quite understaffed hence why things take so long. Even a single mandatory change of plans in our priorities can cost greatly, as we have to push back other things, but sometimes its unavoidable. But we're determined to fix the issues that the game has. Your feedback is valuable towards that target. But yes we cannot fix everything in a month or so, it is impossible. But we're constantly trying to provide solutions in major issues, and find some hidden gems that our players suggest in order to improve your experience. Upcoming changes to The Conclave system will be applied soon (like very, i will have an announcement regarding this tomorrow) and the way of connecting issues with AV will be WAY faster. And you will have feedback at a reasonable amount of time. BUT we will need communication from you too on hot topics. But, you will understand our thinking process about this tomorrow.

A large community of clans and players, old and new, who despite of rough experiences and times of disappointment have still supported, subbed and endured with hopes. By presenting us a vision of Darkfall, with changes and patches to come, you showed us that your attention and focus were placed with the community, and that you aknowledge some of the real problems the game has, problems that currently prevents the activity and thousands of players from playing.
However, with this shift, you have turned your back to us, and instead open your arms and attention to the new players, new players curious about DFUW. You tempt them, promises, unique game features from any MMO, you pave way and tailor the game for them. But the game they will be playing is still the same as the game thousands of us have and are playing. The features, problems and gameplay will still be the same despite any effort you make towards their initial experience and impressions. In the end, the content, gameplay and aspects of the current DFUW remains the same despite a tailored red carpet at their arrival to the game.
My question is AV, how long do you think it is until these new players is a part of us, the large disposed DF community that now stares at your back while you are greeting the newcomers at the gates, with flashy carpets, fancy words and great promises. How long do you think they will traverse the world of Darkfall until they find themselves belonging to the community who just wants to see the game shine.
Being new to DFUW is like an arranged visit to North Korea. They arrange and pave for you to get a great impression, and you may have a great time and experience until you notice the 5000 homeless children hidden in a factory who are citizens of a country that clearly has issues.
Your points are valid. I can definitely see your point of view, and you know I value your and your clan's feedback.
I can understand why you think that we have turned our backs to you by shifting priorities. But this is not the truth. We want to fix the NPE, in order to get more people for you. More people equals to more fun activities for you. I recall the times of Steam trial: every vet tried to help the newbies as much as possible. Some people even spent 20+ hours in it, because they were so happy to see so many players in the game. We are not turning our backs to our loyal crowd. Instead, we're trying to bring more people to them, so both sides (new players and existing ones) to have some fun together. Fixing NPE will benefit the game in the long term. However, we are still under the same plans and focus, and trust me we want to deliver some great things in 2015 that will convince you to play again, among with your friends.
Trust me if we could release everything in one month we would. We want to make you happy, its just hard because of the reasons I explained above. We have to take more time to deliver, since our pipeline has grown with the aftermath of Steam trial.
While everyone seems to think we don't care, and that we don't listen, this is not true. People are very happy in AV when we see that you guys enjoy our work.
We are determined to fix some of the core problems that the game has. We're just trying to prioritize them, as some of them need a LONG development time, and we would like to deliver fast some vital and easy changes, to improve your experience. As you know i'm always open to feedback via PM, by clans that discuss the issues of the game among their member list. I like detailed feedback lists, and I always read them. As I said to clan leaders before, feel absolutely FREE to PM me detailed feedback lists that your clans created. I will make sure to read them and get answers.
P.S I'm F5ing this thread so shoot your questions.
