Faction Balance

bcbullybcbully Member EpicPosts: 11,843

16 days into the main 30 day Alliance vs Alliance vs Alliance campaign. All factions a separated by less than 500 points. 500 points is less than 2 hours of domination. I think it's pretty impressive how ZOS was able to get Alliance race and racial balance right.

I wanted to show this, because AvA is highly competitive and alliance pride means a lot. This leads to intense battles. Mistakes are magnified and great moves are celebrated. One raid or one man can make the difference.

Now if they can only figure out what to do with their 3 other vet campaigns.  Might as well shut them down if they are only going to be played by mostly one faction since it appears more people are playing ESO for the PVE and not PVP and just leave the one vet campaign open.

Those are alt campaigns rodingo. They have to stay because you are only allowed to play one faction per campaign per account. W/o out those campaigns if a person had an alt of a different faction they would not be able to compete in AvA. Also, queues to get into AvA can go over an hour. It would be 3 hours+ if those were not there.

If those are alt campaigns that means that there is even less people who actually PVP in ESO than I thought.  However, something tells me those aren't actually alt campaigns.  Just PVE'ers going into their faction controlled campaign for the PVE benefits.  You do get PVE benefits based on your faction's controlled areas/elder scrolls in Cyradiil, right?

I thought you may say this. ZOS commented on this earlier this week, Here it is.

This is the score this morning. After DC & AD being down 4 and 5 thousand points respectively a little over a week ago, Daggerfall has clawed it's way to the top. Hour by hour point by point, 10 here 20 there 40 culminating in the events of yesterday.

For 6 hours yesterday Daggerfall held the map in an unprecedented stand still. Not one keep changed hands for 6 hours. Daggerfall held all their home keeps and defended 2 captured keep of Aldemri, and one of the Eboneheart. The show of determination brought the lead within 20 points for Daggerfall.

Later that night The Eboneheart and Aldemri almost undid all the work that Daggerfall had done with a ferocious push on both the Daggerfall Northern and southern fronts. The Eboneheart struck at the heart of the Daggerfall Empire and took Fort Glademist putting Daggerfall's elder scrolls at risk while the Aldemeri took all of Daggerfall's souther holdings. Daggerfall eventually rallied and held its elder scrolls.

This is how the map looks this morning. Daggerfall battled back through the night and now holds a very slim 42 point lead.
