The Crowfall team has a trio of new screens on the game's forum. Fans can get a look at the second installment of the banner series, a first look at the Fealty system as shown in a chart and learn more about character creation via page two.
Fealty, it is explained, is a system that is different from the supported guild structure and is, in fact, tied directly to land ownership. The team is planning on revealing more information about how siege conquest and fealty work together at a later date.
Check out all of the screens and information on the Crowfall forum.

Are you not hyped?
Looking good!
Clearly a lot of similarities to SB character creation and once again general emphasis on conquest and sieges.
The fealty system is rather intriguing too.

Try to be excellent to everyone you meet. You never know what someone else has seen or endured.

Promising.
Maybe spent some time reading about the game before posting. Find out who is responsible for development of this game, why they are dropping small bids of hints now, when will they release full content info, etc, and then come back.

The guys behind CF developed games such as UO, SB, SWG and SWOTR.
So, try harder and deal with it.
Every week we get new snips of information while full vision and detailed info, including game footage will be released at the end of the count down which is on feb 24th.

if people cared this thread would be a lot longer...the community - most of it - doesnt seem to get hyped anymore about mmo's...
anyway, the best, most fun mmo that appeared in recent years is ARMA III Life - play it, its the most fun youll ever have in an mmo...and it doesnt cost anything
Nemesis sounds like a whiney kid... stop raging over video games, lol...
as far as this game goes, im interested in it, we will see wha feb 24th offers but i do like the art style.
Agreed. Whoever is responsible for this trickle hype generation must have seen how well it worked for EQ Next.
They have fancy charts of who is pledged to who. Whoop dee doo.
They've still produced nothing that gives me the impression that the game will offer long term fun, progression and the gameplay diversity that a "virtual world" requires.
Maybe also try reading around and try to understand that they will only release very small snips of information for people to speculate on and draw their conclusions until full plan and details are unveiled once the count down is over. If you can't be patient for a bit more than a month and want everything NOW NOW NOW, then boo fuckity hoo. You will have to wait and your negative take on the game from the start won't accomplish anything.
Besides the fealty chart which was shown to simply snip a bit info about hierarchical system that'll be seperate to guilds, there is also another screenshot from character creation which is quite informative if you look at the information there. Clearly there will be quite a bit of similarities to SB character creation and development, on top of some extra aspects such as positive/negative traits.

Actually, it seems like they do.
While I agree that this 'hype' marketing has been done before many, many times... MMORPG.com still fall for it.
There is going to be a release every couple of days which means you can expect to see the name "Crowfall" in news and features for the next month at least.
Personally, I still think the attention span of most gamers is not that long these days and the hype will go sour... but wait and see I guess.
Edit: Oh and expect to see the Shadowbane crowd saying how this game is 'exactly like Shadowbane' until the actual release on how the game works too.
Nothing says irony like spelling ideot wrong.
First, I've ready everything currently available, as well as a disgusting amount of speculation. Second, I couldn't care less how they do it, just pointing out whats going on here. They are capitalizing on speculation instead of being straight forward.
I'm really tired of getting the run around and trying to weed thru hype to figure out whether a new game will actually be worth playing. I'd have much more respect if they either A) said nothing until their content was ready, came right out and stated their intention or C) were honestly polling people and gleaning ideas in order to build a better game. This would fall under D) none of the above.
Then nothing stops you from ignoring this game until feb 24th when you'll get a full picture. Unless, of course, you are some sort of a masochist who enjoys being tormented by lack of detailed info and needs to express it on forums.

Just like Guild Wars 2.
Teasing little by little made people go wild/crazy.
As someone who works in the marketing industry, I do understand it, I just don't appreciate it with MMOs anymore because games never end up like they're advertised, in reality. Its been nothing but a decade of imitation and empty promises. I like a good movie trailer, I like a good commercial for a reputable service or product, but in the MMO industry I think developers just being honest would go a lot further with players. All this hype will just end up causing backlash if its not everything its promised and more. Mark my words. MMO gamers are a bitter, cynical lot, and for good reason.
This.
