I canceled my sub today, I've been subbed since Nov 2013. I played in the closed Beta, and subbed from the start.
As usual, I waited for a few months or so to let a new MMO finish cooking. So even though I've been subbed all this time, I haven't played all that much. Just stopping in every now and then to check on the game. It has improved a lot since launch: I don't see massive gold spam and bot trains everywhere.
I was waiting for 1.6 to come out and start really playing, but now with the new announcement, I think ESO will need some more months to finally finish baking. So I canceled my sub, and I'll wait another while to see what happens. I just don't see the point in paying a sub for the next couple of months, if the game is going to be free to play anyway.

Wow that is quite a feat to be subbed since November of 2013 when the game was only released on April 4th 2014. You paid a subscription for 5 months before the game launched. Was it a paid beta access?

I wish ESO had had the same Lifetime option that LoTRO did when it came out. I beta tested that game too, and bought the Lifetime as soon as it released. I earn enough points to buy all the expansions, no need to ever pay cash and I can play the game forever. I would have done the same for ESO.
