Faceplanted at launch and never even made it back to its knees.

    The never-ending trainwreck...

I'm going to go ahead & say that 2015 will bring server merges & player purges.

    I tell you what's coming in 2015:

    1. Desperate hype of miracle patches.
    2. More hacks and broken mechanics.
    3. Another miracle patch and announcement of management changes.
    4. Game gets abandoned by early 2016

If they are doing anything less than taking p2w out of the marketplace, fixing the cheating/botting, recreating the crafting system WITHOUT RNG, and launching new servers so players can start on an even playing field without whales and cheaters having an advantage, it will NEVER be enough.

i had such high hopes for AA, was a archeum pack founder and 110% loved the alpha and most of the content.

than live came, cash shop came, que's came, hackers came and trion showed the true intent of the game....to make a quick buck from all the whales.

nothing to cry over, happened before and will happen again

pack up and move to the next mmo untill you find the right one for you.

Awesome! The game is still fun and provides many more options for immersion than anything else out there.

You haters should have well moved on to your next big thing by now.

Best MMO going in my opinion...

If Trion had any balls they would create a few P2P servers for this game without the cash shops.

However Archeage seems to be a cash grabber without much future plans.

After all the inicial storm where i didnt like at all the way Trion/XLGames manage the launch and some terrible decisions around cash shop thinks are way more calm now.

Playing since launch day, survive the nightmare of queues, the massive hacks, the massive exploits, the uncontroled bans but i still play and having alot of fun.

ArcheAge continues the best released mmorpg for me even if sometimes:

    - I feel like a poor man in a rich land.

    - I get killed by 2 shoots, but for me the pvp is team work so dont bother me much. Arenas? coudnt care less.

    - Labor is not easy to manage, i like the system but it could be better, what a horrible idea of making diferent regen for patrons on/off "forcing" us to keep the game connected 24h/days to maximize the labor, i really hate this part.

What i really love is the naval war and players are making things really fun like yesterday in EU-Eanna a big war beetween West/East organized by players, its good to see players/guilds taking iniciative to keep the server alive and fun even with the obvious lost of people this last months.

Anyway, for me the "good side" is still winning the "bad side" of the game so i still have fun playing and hope future patch make things better, and Trion/XLGames had learn something about the mess they create during and after launch.

In Q1 all ArcheAge regions will be on a same patch so that will allow XL to fully focus on 2.0 and not worry about maintaining 4 different patch levels in different regions.

Looking forward to new races as well as new abilities.

Don't hold your breath on XLGames spending any significant time on AA in the next year.

They have a new baby (Civilisation Online) which is going to be getting ALL the attention. Not only is that game riding on the coattails of a well-known game IP, but it will also have to receive additional attention from XLGames to justify the inevitable royalty payments for the use of the IP. It's not a "launch-and-forget" type of game, because the royalty payments and licensing costs exist no matter how well the game is doing profits-wise.

I suspect the roll-out of AA to all the different regions was used as an ongoing funding method for the Civilisation Online development. I doubt XLGames devoted any significant time to code changes for the different localised versions of AA. It was probably more along the lines of "disable feature X and Y" and tweaking Cash Shop contents, all of which take minor development effort.

Great game in Alpha with so much potential was pretty much destroyed by the ineptitude of both the developer and the publisher.

I wont be back to the game ive got my archeum founders pack money's worth out of it but I can't say its all been a pleasant experience.  I can guarantee one thing though I won't touch another Trion or XL  game again both have proven to me what a bunch of amateurs they are. Couldn't organize a piss up in a brewery.

I think gamers need to stop with the whole black/white viewpoint and just relax :)

clearly this is your first Trion rodeo.

i wouldn't accuse a company that "loved their product" if it was in fact their product. this child was adopted, adapted and sold into a seedy world of cash grabbery. (and my analogy stops there before it becomes too controversial yet accurate). what's coming in future? witheld content poorly implemented and managed. providing yet more room for exploitation, broken systems and abuse from both sides.

statistically speaking, could you say trion gets it right most of the time?

or do they work at a snails pace to fix bugs, if at all, just to break shit more than they fix, slap together shoddy expansions with most attention paid to fine tuning the cash shops?

if you can't see it, you will.
