Flame Sword

Hey I just started and I saw Prince Rurik'(sp?)s "flame sword". Is that a special quest item or can you craft it? If so, when can I get it and where?

that swrod drops random off mobs, the looks arnt evrything, each one has diffrent stats, but they are all somwhat good good hunting

Yeah, that weapon is called Fiery Dragon Sword, I had 3 of those, sold 2 of them, and kept the best one. Their not too hard to find later in the game.

They aren't too good, only like 13-22 or 15-22, max hammer damage is like 19-35, I have an 18-33 right now, but they aren't as fast nor do they cause bleeding, but they do cause deep wounds and knock people down.

Looks don't mean good damage, young grasshopper.

Swords are single handed and do up to 15-22dmg(thus you can use a focus too, a shield for example), hammers are 2-handed and do up to 19-35dmg. You cant compare a sword to a hammer. Dragonswords arent that cool. They are pretty common later on and IMO they dont look that cool. And they have same stats with other swords too(take same upgrades), except they do fire dmg.

Chaos axes look 10 times cooler IMO and are a lot more rare, since you can only get them in Fissure(temple of ages), which is the hardest place in the entire game. Funny thing is that i have to sell my chaos axes cheaper than the stupid dragonswords, cause like noone knows what they are or how cool they actually look.

The sword you saw is just a random drop, and is more of a "for looks" item then anything doesnt meen it is the best. So i wouldnt wast your time buying one when you can get a much better (maybe not as cool lookin) sword forproly half the price. People are expected to pay a lot for looks. Happy Hunting. BTW a place you might want to hunt is Thirst River father on in the game (desert area) that is where i have seen some drop.

in the crystal desert all weapons dropped are in the high 10's so but brother too much about damage

Hehe, if we get on the topic of good drops, try to find a good group and do underworld or fissure basically every drop there has max dmg. (Fyi those places at Temple of Ages nearest Bergen Hot Springs)
