I was completely shocked at the amount of people who had no clue there was a new Conan movie out a few years back. So lets see what our forum readers have to say.
The conan movie wasn't a third rate movie by any means. It had a nice budget and looked really good. The movie overall wasn't that great though. The Total Recall was better then the original by a long shot and from what I heard the Robocop movie was great.
I enjoyed it and it was exactly what I expected. It wasn't great cinema by any means, but it was fun and most of the time, if it entertains, then it's done its job.

I enjoyed John Carter for much the same reason.
I totally agree, it lived up to expectations, but didn't exceed them.
The sad thing for me is that after watching too much gritty realism on LiveLeak, cinema seems somehow a little bit tame.
Still, Check out how the old and new Conans stack up:
If you scroll down a little it gives you the option to watch it on amazon for $2.99 instant video. Redbox might still have it idk how they work any more and Netflix does not have it.

Didn't know... Or maybe I did, but forgot. Probably trash, no?
I don't want to have anything to do with those classic movies remakes they are producing at the moment: Total Recall, Robocop and probably others.
