I was Just wondering 2 thing and I was looking for some feed back.

1. How do you guys as gamers feel about race traits are you for or against?

2. What are some classes you like to see in a mmo or would like to see more of ina Mmo?

    1. I think racial traits work best has passive bonuses. Such as +certain stats, special immunities, can see better in the dark. Traits along those lines. I will also say when you give special racial abilities that becomes another obstacle to balance.

    2. Pure Archer, Traditional Wizards, Berserkers, Support Classes in general

I personally think race traits are bad overall since they encourage you to pick a race based on their bonuses instead of what looks good.

    I don't like classes

I like unique traits for different races, especially if they are meaningful, but I can see why other feel that's pigeon-holing their character choices.

    1: Races
I am all for differences between the races. Races, in my opinion, should be better or worse at certain things, depending on that games world design and/or lore.

    2: Classes
    Bards and Control classes.
I also feel that classes should compliment each other instead of everyone being able to do everything.

Personally the only modern MMORPG trend that annoys me is the idea that MMOs need to be designed in a way to attract people who don't actually like MMOs. Which to me makes about as much sense as someone trying to figure out a way to get vegetarians to eat at their steakhouse.

    This, in every way.

    1) they are fine as long as they are balanced relative to one another

    2) buff/debuff, support, and CC classes.

I am against race traits and classes because both have been the source of a lot of frustration in avatar creation and development for me.  Instead of classes I like to see two separate systems: factions, representing your political alignment within the game world and the ranks you can climb within it, and ala carte ability purchase, also allowing abilities to be sold to get the points back if the player decides they don't like them.
I want to help design and develop a PvE-focused, solo-friendly, sandpark MMO which combines crafting, monster hunting, and story.  So PM me if you are starting one.

    1. I like racial's i think they add depth and a bit of thinking to your character other then just how they look.  They can't be to powerful but like another poster said some kind of small buff to certain stats works well.

    2. As far a classes Support support support.  i really dont like that support characters have fell to the wayside in most games. Maybe a Time mage,  blue mage (ffxi) someone that learns abilities from monsters in the world,
