Diamond in ring was replaced.

So my wife goes to get her diamond ring resized and when she gets home its a different diamond in the freaking ring.  I know because when I paid for the ring I did a ton of research so I wouldn't get ripped off.  I could see a very small bluish/green line in the middle of the diamond that was so small I didn't complain and just kept it.  Well the ring just came back from the jewelers and guess what that blue streak is gone.  The sad part is I have no proof but I'm going to the jewelers Monday so they can show me the marker through the microscope.  If it isn't there I'm gonna end up in jail.  So whats some creative things I can do to pressure these people into giving me my diamond back?  I'm thinking of standing outside just telling everyone they steal diamonds.  I could take them to court because the diamond in the ring doesn't match the diamond I originally paid for.  It's gonna be tough because its my word against theirs.
Are you onto something or just on something?

You should have gotten a diamond fingerprint. That way you could prove the theft in court.

If they diamond is over $500 chances are it has a report generated with it that will identify it. There is also the chance your diamond was filled giving you that streak, but when the jeweler resized it the filling might have come out.

I did some research about the filling thing and it looks like my ring was filled.  I will know more Monday when the jeweler shows me the microscope and I can see the actual drill holes they used to fill it.  Now I'm faced with the situation that the jeweler shoulda known better then heat up a ring with an obvious fill signature.  I wont make him pay if their are drill holes I'll just accept he made a mistake and I can live with that.  But if there are no drill holes ima drill a fist in someone's face :P.

Next time go to Antwerp if you want a good diamond in your ring. Only place on Earth they actually give you a proper certificate and where you can actually talk to the person cutting your diamond directly. You can even see the cutting if you want.

I don't understand ppl paying tons of money on diamonds and then buy them in places they don't treat you correctly.

Here are some vacation pictures from Antwerp.

Multiple ppl will check the diamond before they hand it over to you, to make sure the cut is done correctly:

You will be shown exactly the quality of your diamond and be explained why your diamond was cut this way and where your diamond fits in:

You will be given a proper certificate with names of the cutter, diamond ID, seller name, signatures of the cutter and seller and place to go for help:
