...if UO 2 had less features than UO, looked like ass and had a crappier UI.

Have you tried it? I have been. Every single alpha/beta. The game is a lot like UO in terms of PvP, using skills to gain, crafting, the way you collect resources, building, player interaction.... there is so much in common. Yes a lot has been changed too, such as the way skills work when you "level up" (reach a certain skill level), and zones for PvP... but its a lot like UO. Quite frankly, I think its going to quench my decade+ long thirst for UO back in the PvP days. Damn you trammies.

To anyone looking for UO2, take it from a very experienced player and not this joker, the two have a LOT in common.

As a long time fanatical player of UO I have to disagree. Albion is a pile of steaming trash compared to UO and nothing like it besides having an isometric view and open pvp. UO was SO much more

LMAO. Shroud isnt even close to UO. That was just a selling point to get all of our money on the stupid pre-alpha. Its not even an open world, theres an "overland map" where you become a giant and run to the next zone...circa 1990's rpgs.

I'm immensely dissappointed by Shroud..its nothing like UO. It is however like the original ultima series. Not my cup of tea though for an mmorpg. I want more than Shroud.

There was not much to do when i checked out SotA, so no idea about the rest, but the inventory certainly was like UO. Which was always a huge mess, but kinda interesting. More freedom in organizing things compared to the usual slot based ones.

UO2 would probably suck, like many sequels especially to MMOs. But something in the spirit of the original UO...the thing SotA was supposed to be, but apparently isn't.

Amass an army, and we'll harness a horde
And then we'll limp across the land until we stand at the shore

Well, its a shame it doesn't suit your tastes. But literally thousands of ex UO players are flocking to it for a bunch of the reasons I stated. Some of the changes I don't care for at all, but with today's current crop of MMO's there isn't much of a competitor.

I think UO2 will never happen, unless hell (EA) freezes...
