You can get your 1500

store crowns for the B2P transition now. Yesterday was the first day but if you sub now you will be subbed on the 17th and eligible for the 1500 crowns (along with any other crowns you have coming).

 

Then my suggestion would be to unsub depending on what is being released.

 

if there is no DLC content released on the 17th then the sub isnt worth it, because then the 'biggest' selling point of the sub (access to all content) is not even relevant because there isnt any 'gated' content anyway.

 

Of course if you want to hoard crowns then stay subbed but that is a gamble as well since we dotn have any price points or even sales methods for upcoming items (mainly DLC)

 

This is of course for people who are not eligible for any of the 'loyalty' bonuses.

    Lol I agree. My sub will expire on April 8th and it'll stay that way until there is DLC and then I'll decide whether to buy the DLC or sub.... but they'll still get another $20 from me when i take advantage of the console discount deal.

    Yup. I like the game all right. I have done a 180 on it. Maybe a 150. It  certainly seems theyre making all the right decisions right now. But it is also a buy to play title. When the perks for subbing are so little then you dont sub. The 1500 crowns seems OK but we still dont know everything that will be in the store, or  what will be added or if the PTS prices are going to be live prices. If so then the 1500 crowns are over kill as of right now.

     

    So you dont just sub to a B2P game when youre not getting any noticeable advantage from it. The ability to play the DLC for free without buying it is the obvious biggest draw to subscribing, if they dont add anything to the game then subscribing is sort of stupid. 

     

    I am sure they know that, probably why the added the 9 month loyalty tier. Hoping guys close would sub for a couple extra months. Not knocking them for that either.

     

    But paying for something when you dont get anything (tangible) for it is definitely charity. 

     

    I was really expecting some sort of announcement on long term subscription plans by now. Maybe they were waiting for this benchmark to pass. The timing would be right as they can use the holiday as an excuse for why it wasnt announced or something. Or they might be waiting for it to coincide with the release of 1.6 on the live servers.

     

     

    I have also comment on that. If they offer 12 months at 99.99 I will take a shot, even if they dont plan on offering DLC for another 3 months, and with an unknown DLC release timetable. But if they dont or if they offer it for slightly more, say 119.99 I might balk at it simply because the unknowns are too great, and all the 12 month sub would be is a de facto store crown purchase.

    I was forced to maintain my sub so I could get the striped Senche mount for having 300 paid subscription days prior to March 17th lol.

    BTW, in case anyone else is interested in getting that mount... the 300 days don't have to be consecutive and if you activate a game card or buy a sub for several months before March 17th, that amount of game time counts toward those 300 days... and the initial 30 you got with the game purchase don't count.

     

    Also you do have to be subscribed ON March 17 to get it.

    If you search around you can get 60 day game cards as low as 23.00 (I bought a couple).  You will get 1500 crown points per month after march 17.  It will be a way to get a discount sub + crown points.  Cheaper then a normal sub and will go toward the 300 days if you are a few months short.
