Ya i'm not interested in ideas. I need to see more of the game before I give my money. Also, seems like they're doing pretty good so far. Over $500,000 in 2 days. Wish them all the best and success for sure.

I decided not to back at the last minute. I let my emotions run high based off of community hype and the countdown hype. I started to paint a picture of this awesome amazing game in my mind. Time to get off this hype train for now. Not saying I won't pledge at a later stage. I'd be more than happy to pay for Early Access later on down the track. For me it's just simply too early.

I was hoping for more gameplay vids as well. What I did see wasn't very awe inspiring at all. The telegraphs were a huge turnoff for me. This most likely will change though based on community feed back.

I wish them the best of luck though. Last I checked they have raised  $567,345 :)

Perhaps see you guys in game sometime wayyyy down the track

Pretty much same here, besides I haven't even decided whether I'll play it or not.

DUDE THAT'S AWESOME!  When the game launches I bet other people would of wished they did the same thing.

Basically you jump in on a concept in the crowdfunding stages and it is going to be 3-5 years before you get any return on your investment.   I mean first there is a hell of alot I could have spent $60 on in those 2 years since I invested in Star Citizen.  That could have bought me some premium mechs in MWO or a premium tank in WoT or even 4 months of premium access in either game.  That could have bought me 1-5 games on Steam that might have given me hours of enjoyment.  Instead they have $60 and  have mostly a bunch of reports on what the game will be like when it releases...whenever that might be.

Additionally, while it really hasn't been an issue so far that I am aware of, eventually one of these games will end up failing prior to release and because they spent all your money on development....well your just going to be out your money.

Anyway, that being the case, my rule of thumb now is that there has to be at least a minimum playable product available, basically something I can spend time and have fun with from the minute I purchase.  It doesn't have to be a finished product, but it does have to be something that gives me a immediate return on my investment so that if things do go south, I still feel I got my monies worth.

Here is a prime example.  Naval Action.  It is in very early alpha with only about 2% of that game done.  However that 2% is about a dozen very cool, iconic Age of Sail ships and a nice little arena deathmatch PvP set up that allow for some amazingly fun gameplay.  I think I have at least 50 hours played since I bought it on Feb 13th and can't wait to get home to play again tonight which makes it very cheap entertainment at only a $39.99 price tag.  Basically there was no 1-3 year wait and even if the full MMO doesn't come to fruition, my $40 feels well spent.  This situation I will buy into, not something I have to wait for.

Everrything helps even a buck but yes I love your post.

They had  followed the Star Citizen model they would never have to produce a working game.  Fail from day 1.image

I will be there at SOME point  :) I am delighted that the game has been well received and their kickstarter is well underway. I read on the Crowfall forums that they will have other pledge options after the kickstarter is over also.

    I appreciate your enthusiasm !

This "New" model of cash grab has got to go.

Back in time we had games that had demos, you could actually try it before you buy it.

Nowadays we have developers asking people for money before they even completed the product and not always complete the product.

People like you, the "whales" that can spend money and not care about it, because your mom and dad provide it all for; you are the people helping this ugly cash grab model that we see nowadays.

Same goes for Early access to test a product, c'mon, pay for alpha to test a product?

Developers should go back to the old days where they had closed alphas and betas or give the product for free for testing, after all that is what 'testing' is about, not cash grab.

As usual the capitalism and money wasted in our country speaks for itself and people seem to abide, love to waste and been taken advantage of.

It sounds a lot like you are the developer and you added yourself on the crowd funding site and taken a screen shot as if you donated the money. You are pushing too much and it seems sketchy....

So please do not make blanket statements...thanks!

I can attest to that I am clearly not on their team, I was just called out  if you looked farther up and  seethe post stating  "about do not believe what people post about donations"   so to back that up I posted a shot to clear that up is all.

And remember "Freedom Is not Free" I fought for mine and yours.

I served in Afghanistan for the illusion of the so called "Freedom" you are talking about just to see the atrocities and inhumane reality they do not show on tv  due to media manipulation and to elude people when the reality is the complete opposite. Open your eyes, we do not have freedom, we live according to few government views and they choose what is right and wrong for us...

People could not even express they "freedom" on Wall Street and they were thrown in jail.

By all means just throw away money with no concern as you do, while others are suffering and in need. You could do better things with the money than to pay for a product that is not yet finished ( far from finished).

1 in 6 people in this country live below the poverty line. Which is a abysmal $23,850 for a family of 4.

20% of the children in this country live below the poverty line.

You donate $10,000 to a video game?  Some patriot you are.

I've never told you how to spend your money, i just expressed my disgust for such waste and expressed my point of view.

I Am not happy for the "service" i served, for the things i've done. Give me my legs back, make me walk again, take the horrible memories out of my head and i will be happy....

So you don't own anything that you don't need? Your car is the absolute cheapest that would get you to/from work? You give all your extra income to the "needy"? No? Then don't even start that. We all waste money, it's what we do, how each person does it is no business of mine. I'm saving up for a sports car that'll cost more than $10k, does that make me a bad person too?
