My only interest in this game is that Raph Koster is helping out with the crafting/gathering/economy aspect.
Flexible/player driven rulesets and that sexy beast - Guinecean Duelist
There's a bunch of stuff I'm excited about!
1. Artwork/style - I'm liking the look of the characters so far. I'm sure things will change since they're in early Alpha but I hope they stay with the art style they've shown us so far.
2. Beast races - Nothing wrong with Elves and Dwarves in a fantasy game, but I always found it neat to have some sort of animal based race.
3. The different worlds of increasing difficulty - In the mood for a bit more casual gaming today? Fiddle around in one of the outer realms. Looking for some challenge? Head towards The Hunger.
4. Different rule sets - Similar to the difficulty. Want a carebear experience today? Go to the world that has no PvP rule engaged. Feel like stabbing people in the face? Head to a world with full PvP rule engaged. Feel like stabbing people in the face and then taking all their gear? There's probably a world with that rule set going. Want to do some serious magic wielding? Rule set where magic power is increased. Etc, etc.
So not only do you have a variety of characters you can build, but you have a variety of worlds to explore, and a variety of play styles you can check out. Awesome.
