So I decided to return to ESO before the b2p launch. Just was looking for something to play so thought why not lets renew my sub. Played a little last week, and was taking my day off today to enjoy 1.6.
First I love the justice system, game feels more Elder Scrolls. Some of the animations look better. Provision revamp was a missed opportunity and just a blah. I liked the old system ingredients and would have just preferred less. The new ingredients are just lacking in the elder scrolls feel that the old ingredients brought.
Now for my major gripe, the champion system. Just to preface, I hated the whole idea since I read about it last summer. From last week to this week my sorc char feels weak. This could be due to the skill set up and my play style but I do not think so. I also find the champion system itself is just a disgusting grind. I have found it to be a deterrent, it has made playing feel like a job.
Just a note on the PvP portion ( which was my favorite part before I left):
Last summer I could easily join a pug. For EP usually there were several and you just typed some numbers and get autoinvited. Lately it seems EP has no more pugs. When I was in cyrodiil (Thornblade) last night I couldn't even get a response. Population was locked and no response in zone chat.

A lot of things changed on all classes and most builds need changing, that may be the weakness issue. I researched and had my build ready gear wise for 1.6 and find myself to be godlike in power. As for EP pvp on thorn, everyone is generally in a guild or if you are pugging you need to wait for them to call out for more as guilds are weary of spies.
Any graphical, audio, or gameplay restrictions not seen in other mmos but found in FFXIV can be blamed on one thing.

OP
Unfortunately ESO is not interested in CYRODIIL(AVA). They TALKED like they were late last year with the guild summit. Their lack of any action to improve AVA game play says all you need to know about that feature for the foreseeable future.
That is why I returned to DAOC.
Funniest thing I read all week. The guy who returned to DAOC was second funniest thing.
Started my sorc back up today as well and had a hard time staying alive at first. Decided to go in and mess with my build, use skills I had never used before and boy did it make a difference. Found a nice blend of damage and utility to help stay alive and having a blast using skills I never had before. Even was able to note which skills will be better in a party setting as opposed to soloing, some are better for it. Same with skills for pvp setting. Overall, I'm loving it and everything feels like I'm making real choices now in my build.
The champion system, for me at least, has nothing to do with this either as I'm only Vet Rank 3 as of today. I look at the champ system as similar to Rift's planar attunement, a fun and nice alternative advancement system to liven up endgame play. Justice system is fun too, if a bit annoying in that I accidentally killed a friendly npc because my spells hit him when attacking an enemy. Casualty of war, lol. In a way though, that make it more "real" and immersive. Now for F2P to launch so I can tackle all this group content with other people. It's the only thing missing now, need more players.
